Small update on what I've done in Pleasantview so far. In addition to the Motel, I've added a small diner, Gas Station, and started work on the mobile trailer park behind the Motel. Two are based off builds made by other simmers in TS4.

I'm still figuring out what builds go where. I know I need a train station somewhere as I plan on making one for Sim City and the train has to go some destinations. I placed down a hood deco bus station. Maybe the train station can go beside it?

This trailer park is hurting my head though. I thought the layout made sense but now idk.

It's been awhile since I've updated on my Pleasantview renovation, but I had to take a step back and rethink my city planning. I might have had too wide of a scope. I'm back to working on my residential area and a nearby school. I'm going to get one street/area done and start moving sims in.

Here's the first addition to the street. Don't mind the blue homes, its just a copy paste of a Ranch style home I build and didn't like. I'm using it as a base for the houses on the street. I gotta admit single-family homes are a struggle for me to build lol. It's based off a real life home in Florida I found on Zillow.

I noticed that some Florida neighborhoods have sidewalks set back further from the road which allows for cars to be parked on grass which I thought was a nice detail.

Here's a sneak peek at the school I'm working on. It's going to be an outdoor school (they really do exist lol) and offer grades K5-8th. I might have to delete that building in the back because I hate how it looks from the front of the school. I was going to make it an auditorium but idk.

A few shots of the original Ranch home I dislike. I'll still make a floorplan and upload it along with the other house when I'm done building the basics. I have plans to do longplays on my Youtube channel soon. I have so many ideas for this hood that I can't explain just here on tumblr.

Citrus View

I've done about all I can to the shell of this build and its time to move on to setting up the Pleasants and placing this lot in Pleasantview. As said before, I'm uploading the homes I build as I go and this is the first of them. I am happy about how this build came out.

A few notes:

This lot was build using CFE. The second floor is technically the third floor to the game. Being, there may be some lighting/shadow issues. You can place more lights down to make the walls on the second floor not be darker than the rest where the atrium is.

I've recolored one of Pinka's walls twice because I wanted the border but the walls to have different textures. I also made a matching plain wall because I didn't want the border where the atrium was on the second floor.

I've recolored this column by Huge Lunatic for a more modern texture.

I've recolored this garage by Adonis Pluto. It's near perfect. Though if you zoom in you may see some white edges. It doesn't bother me too much to fix now, but maybe in the future.

You may notice the window situation is a bit weird. The front of the house uses windows from the horse ranch pack, but they don't translate as luxury to me. Still they looked better in the front than other windows.

I've been playing around with my reshade settings. Well actually I'm editing the Heather preset by talentedtrait. I'm trying out the FilmicPass fx and I like it in game but not so much in the first screenshot you see here. What do you think?

Also, isn't Lilith's room awesome? The only room I have completely decorated in the Pleasants house to date. I know she has zero interest in animals, but I'm going to give her a cat that she names Salem. I think she likes him for his independence so she barely has to take care of him.

Had a fun time attempting to recreate a motel made by SoulSisterSims in TS2 and its doable. It's just going to take me a long time with making recolors in order to get as close to my vision as possible.
