MyPod Shuffle Update

Since the turn of the year I have stopped compiling a list of my favourite tracks of the month, this is down to a number of reasons. 

1. Finding the time to complile these lists actually takes longer than you think, and with working full time and finding time to write, these lists have been at the bottom of my priority list unfortunately. 

2. For those who actually read MyPod Shuffle and use these monthly playlists as a source for new music, I sincerely apologise but I can't imagine that many people being too distraught about this news. If you'd like to keep up with what I'm listening to and 'diggin' at present time, you can always follow my Soundcloud page! 

3. Instead of focusing on these lists, my blog will be used mainly for my writing, something I'm hoping to do an awful lot more of from now along with posting written articles that have been published on websites etc.

MyPod Shuffle - October

This month's MyPod Shuffle playlist is noticeably shorter than usual but that doesn't necessarily mean October was a shy month musically due to wanting to keep these playlists fresh with new tracks and ones I have discovered as of late, albeit a short playlist, next month's playlist will return to it's usual, full self. Disclosure unveiled a new gem on their SoundCloud page recently with 'Apollo' and R Kelly did likewise with 'Cookie'.

MyPod Shuffle- August & September

This MyPod Shuffle post is overdue to say the least; it seems working full time and balancing out a reasonably healthy social life has put blogging to one side for the time being, but that will change.I hope.

Over the last few months there have been a number of new releases, some of which I’ve listened too and some I have completely forgotten about. NOCERMONY/// and London Grammar are two albums that have been on repeat as of late, while the likes of Justin Timberlake and King Krule failed to capture my attention, which is incredibly hard for me to admit. MyPod Shuffle - June

This month's edition of MyPod shuffle is slightly different from the previous posts, I have taken the decision to drop the collage of artist artwork from the piece and replace it with a video or soundcloud link with one of the tracks featured in the playlist, this will either be my favourite track from the month or just one at random, make of it what you will.

June was a relatively quiet month due to being in the peak of festival season. I was unable to attend any of the festivals I had hoped due to financial circumstances but luckily the technology of today allows you to watch clips or even full sets of these wonderful festivals online...but who wants to watch it right? Obviously I'd much rather be in the middle of the sweaty main stage crowd on a hot summers day, drinking cider and dancing like an intoxicated moron, but hey, there's always next summer right?

This month's playlist features a few tracks that fell under my radar recently, one's that should of made the grade for earlier playlists but somehow slipped away. Featuring in this month's playlist; Cyril Hahn's debut single, Drake's new protege PARTYNEXTDOOR, a few tracks from Yeezus (one of the best albums I've heard this year) and London Grammar who have been at the top of my radar for quite some time now, they certainly are ones to watch.
