Catfish and the Bottlemen 'The Balcony' review.Â

Interview: Paperwhite
For a number of years sibling musicians have been at the forefront of mainstream music; some have gone on to become world renowned acts (Clipse, HAIM, Disclosure), but others weren't as fortunate. In the last few years sibling acts have become almost a norm within popular music and have taken the world stage by storm. Disclosure aka Guy and Howard Lawrence have become a household name in little over a year with the release of their debut album Settle to critical acclaim earning the pair nominations for Grammys and Brits alone. Across the pond, Haim aka Alana, Danielle and Este Haim have not only become one of the most talked about sibling acts but currently as one of the biggest pop groups. After coming to the attention of many in 2013 and winning the BBC Sound of 2013, Haim have go on to new heights after releasing debut album Days Are Gone. So what is it about sibling acts that make great music?
Seeming through the cracks of the blogosphere are Paperwhite aka Ben and Katie Marshall, a brother/sister duo hailing from Brooklyn, NYC. The duo have been composing and writing for what seems their whole lives but the idea of forming Paperwhite happened little over a year ago.

Aloe Blacc - Lift Your Spirit (Polydor)
Prior to the release of Lift Your Spirit retro soul man Aloe Blacc featured on the cheesy EDM country hybrid hit 'Wake Me Up' with Swedish producer Avicii, which went on achieve No.1 status in 22 countries. Lift Your Spirit is his third solo effort, but the first to be released on a major label, and it seems Aloe Blacc is longing to be a household name. With two No.1 singles in the UK ('Wake Me Up', 'The Man') the release of Lift Your Spirit looks certain to place Blacc within the realms of mainstream success but at what cost?

Sky Ferreira - Night Time, My Time (Polydor)
As far as debut albums go itâs fair to say weâve been waiting almost what feels like an age for Sky Ferreira to release what is now Night Time, My Time. After years of disputes with her record label regarding her musical direction and image as artist, Night Time, My Time is her way of metaphorically sticking her middle finger up to those who questioned her artistry.

James Vincent McMorrow - Post Tropical (Vagrant/Believe)
James Vincent McMorrow may not be a household name yet but his voice is unique and distinctive, itâs only a matter of time when that accolade will be deemed appropriate. For those who canât put a face to the name, have a listen to McMorrowâs cover of Steve Winwoodâs âHigher Loveâ, ultimately his most recognisable work to date. âHigher Loveâ featured on adverts for Film 4 and Sky Sports showcasing his soft, endearing vocal range, eventually becoming a Top 10 hit. Post Tropical is the triumphant sophomore album, following debut effort Early In The Morning, demonstrating his maturity as a songwriter and composer.

Blood Orange - Cupid Deluxe (Domino)
Off the back of working alongside the likes of Sky Ferreira, MKS and most notably Solange on her True EP, Dev Hynes aka Blood Orange has found time to write and produce his sophomore album Cupid Deluxe. Hynes leaves no stone unturned with this remarkable, beautifully constructed, seductively funky record with a twist of melodic downtempo dance.

MyPod Shuffle Update
Since the turn of the year I have stopped compiling a list of my favourite tracks of the month, this is down to a number of reasons.Â
1. Finding the time to complile these lists actually takes longer than you think, and with working full time and finding time to write, these lists have been at the bottom of my priority list unfortunately.Â
2. For those who actually read MyPod Shuffle and use these monthly playlists as a source for new music, I sincerely apologise but I can't imagine that many people being too distraught about this news. If you'd like to keep up with what I'm listening to and 'diggin' at present time, you can always follow my Soundcloud page!Â
3. Instead of focusing on these lists, my blog will be used mainly for my writing, something I'm hoping to do an awful lot more of from now along with posting written articles that have been published on websites etc.Â
RIP MyPod Shuffle.

Top 20 Albums of 2013 (In alphabetical order)
1.      Artic Monkeys â AM
Personally, I never quite got what the Artic Monkeys were about until this record, Iâm not sure why but I just didnât buy into it but with AM I now get it, I think. And itâs not surprising that AM was nominated for the 2013 Mercury Prize award, albeit the Sheffield quartetâs fifth album. AM draws inspiration from an array of genres most notably psychedelic rock and blues with lead single âDo I Wanna Knowâ epitomising their direction with this album. For myself, being a rather late comer to the party, AM is a great record.  Stand out tracks: Do I Wanna Know, Whyâd You Only Call Me When Youâre High.  2.      Blood Orange â Cupid Deluxe Â
Cupid Deluxe is one of the most original records I have personally heard in a very long time. Dev Hynes aka Blood Orange delivers a truly genre defying album combining elements of soul funk, disco and elements of Hip hop. Cupid Deluxe is a brilliant, original masterpiece.   Stand out tracks: Chamakay, No Right Thing, Clipped On, Always Let U Down.  3.      CHVRCHES â The Bones Of What You Believe Â
Having been nominated and coming fifth in the BBC Sound Of 2013, the Glaswegian synth pop trio had a very promising year ahead and with the release of their highly rated debut album The Bones of What You Believe, finishing fifth almost seems like an insult. Lauren Mayberryâs vocals are sweet and with the native Scottish twang ever present, CHVRCHES stand out from the norm.  Stand out tracks: We Sink, Gun, Lies, Night Sky.   4.      Daft Punk â Random Access Memories Â
Possibly one of the most talked about albums of the decade so far and itâs no wonder why, boasting the second best-selling single of 2013 with âGet Luckyâ. Random Access Memories is like no other Daft Punk record we have heard, paying homage to the disco funk scene from the late 70s early 80s. Random Access Memories is a genre defying piece of music inevitably pushing the boundaries of electronic music, and receiving numerous Grammy Award nominations in the process.
Stand out tracks: Give Life Back to Music, Within, Lose Yourself to Dance.  5.      Deptford Goth â Life After Defo
Deptford Gothâs (Daniel Woolhouse) debut album Life After Defo is every bit mysterious and dark you can imagine and more. His ability to blend melodic R&B, element of Dubstep and downtempo Pop makes this album an intriguing and captivating listen (the average track length being six minutes). Being compared to likes of James Blake, Jamie Woon and Holy Other, Life After Defo is well worth a listen, perfect for a long train commute or flight, you simply lose yourself.
Stand out tracks: Bronze Age, Feel Rea, Guts no Glory, Union.  6.      Disclosure â Settle Â
The production duo that have been on the lips of every clubber, festival head and House head for the last 18 months, Disclosureâs debut effort Settle is being touted as one of the best Electronic album of the year with the Grammy Award nomination to top it off. Disclosure (Guy and Howard) have been around for a few years now, and their sound has come a long way in that period. They received much support from the likes of Annie Mac with singles âBlue Youâ and âBoilingâ but finally hit the big time with single âLatchâ. The production on Settle is flawless and boats an array of impressive vocalists.  Stand out tracks: Defeated, Voices, January, Help Me Lose My Mind.   7.      Drake â Nothing Was The Same
Having won a Grammy for Best Hip Hop album with Take Care, Nothing Was The Same has eclipsed its predecessor with flying colours. Drake has delivered one of the most thought provoking, musically engineered Hip Hop albums of the year, some might say the decade. Long-time collaborator Noah â40â Shebib has outdone himself once again with the production on this record, and Drakeâs ability to rap in a form of storytelling compliments the production so well. With an eye catching list of features from upcoming artists, something that Drake excels in, the likes of Sampha and Majid Jordan make Nothing Was The Same such a compelling Hip Hop record.  Stand out tracks: Furthest Thing, Own it, The Language, 305 to My City, Too Much, The Motion.  8.      Foals â Holy Fire
Holy Fire is the third record from Oxford electro-indie outfit Foals, who before this had already cemented their place in the indie hall of fame, now with the release of Holy Fire in their locker, their stock has risen significantly and have become commercially a huge success. Singles âInhalerâ and âMy Numberâ being the driving force behind the success, which eventually topped off their year with a Mercury Award nomination.  Stand out tracks: Inhaler, My Number, Late Night.   9.      Ghostpoet â Some Say I So I Say Light
Some Say I So I Say Light is one of the trickiest album titles to say yet alone remember, it is however the excellent sophomore album from Ghostpoet (Obaro Ejimiwe), following his Mercury Prize nominated debut Peanut Butter and Melancholy Jam. His raw talent and inept ability to blend melancholic atmospherics  with UK Hip Hop is exceptional. Ghostpoet is one of the most talented UK rappers to date, this record is endearing, captivating and raw from the word go.
Stand out tracks: Them Waters, Dial Tones, Meltdown, 12 Deaf.
10.  Haim â Days Are Gone
After winning The BBC Sound of 2013, American sister trio Haim had an unusual amount of pressure to deliver a great record, and they did that with Days Are Gone. From the start of the hype surrounding the trio I wasnât particularly a fan but after listening to Days Are Gone it just shows how an opinion can change so drastically. Haim have that ability to put a smile on your face with their music, this album is just simply happy music from the production to the vocals, everything about it is cheery, yet compelling all the same.  Stand out tracks: Falling, The Wire, If I Could Change Your Mind, Days Are Gone.  11.  James Blake â Overgrown
The soft and schoolboy-esque vocals of James Blake have come a rather long way from producing records in his bedroom. His self-titled debut was welcomed with mixed reviews but his sophomore album Overgrown blew it right out of the water. The production on this record is stellar, majestic some may say. Blakeâsâ music overall have matured in such a way itâs difficult to explain. Both his debut and Overgrown were nominated for the Mercury Prize, the latter winning the 2013 award. His balladry song writing and electronic soul sounds offered a much more diverse listen to his debut and grasped a new wave of listeners along the way.  Stand out tracks: I Am Sold, Retrograde, Digital Lion, Voyeur.    12.  Justin Timberlake â The 20/20 Experience (Part 1) Â
The highly anticipated return from the Prince of Pop teased fans across the globe with various short previews, promotional videos and teaser tracks, when finally lead single âSuit & Tieâ was released rather secretly, Mr Timberlake had us all in the palm of his hand. The 20/20 Experience (Part 1) was a triumphant return to form after a rather long hiatus to focus on an acting career. This record once again demonstrated JTâs ability to differ from the norm that is mainstream Pop and deliver something pretty great, like his previous records. Albeit The 20/20 Experience (Part 2) being a complete disappointment, quite the contrast from the opening 10 tracks, Part 1 showcases such an innovative take on R&B and futuristic Pop it left music critics alone wondering how to categorise the record. Quite contrary to his previous albums, Part 1 doesn't offer as many radio friendly singles which makes this album all the more of a triumph, that and the often occurrence of estranged woman making orgasmic sounds, read into that what you may⊠ Stand out tracks: Pusher Lover Girl, Strawberry Bubblegum, Tunnel Vision, Spaceship Coupe.  13.  Kanye West â Yeezus
Any new material from Mr West is warrant a listen but nobody was expecting what was Yeezus. Mind blowing? Ambitious? Risky? Controversial? It was a combination of all those and more. Kanye West has this capability of delivering something completely out the ordinary and making it into something extraordinary, he is majestic. The minimalist and industrial approach with this album summarises every aspect of this record, Hip Hop? Not a chance. Kanye drafted in legendary producer Rick Rubin to ultimately âreduceâ the record, giving it that edgy, rushed sound albeit being so completely polished and perfect. Itâs no mystery why Yeezus has been voted as one of the best albums of 2013 in lists from almost every music publication on the planet.
Stand out tracks: Black Skinhead, Hold My Liquor, Blood on the Leaves, Guilt Trip, Bound 2.   14.  London Grammar â If You Wait
âThe love child of The xx and Florence Welchâ is one way of describing London Grammar. A little over a year ago, the trio were studying at University and putting out music via SoundCloud, now with a successful debut album under their belt, the young band have come a very long way in such a short space of time. The elegant, sumptuous vocals of Hannah Reid lay over minimalist, melancholic guitar riffs and ambient electronic percussion brought London Grammar to the attention of many, prompting an influx of festival appearances and radio play. If You Wait is mesmerizing and perfect for night time listening.  Stand out tracks: Hey Now, Shyer, Metal & Dust, Darling Are You Gonna Leave Me.
  15.  Moderat â II
German outfit Moderat are made up of Modeselektor and Apparat, both very well respected in the specific genres that are IDM (Intelligent Dance Music), glitch and techno. II is their second album together, a rather fitting title. Combining industrial dance and techno, II blows any preconceptions of European dance music out the window, II is has an avant garde approach with elements of pre-existing club/rave music.  Stand out tracks: Bad Kingdom, Let In The Light, Milk, Therapy.  16.  Mount Kimbie â Cold Spring Fault Less Youth
Post-dubstep pioneers Mount Kimbieâs second album Cold Spring Fault Less Youth was one of the best electronic albums 2013 had to offer, yet on first listen this record didn'tât do anything for me. After playing it again through decent headphones my view changed dramatically. Their ambient soundscapes are endearing and with guest vocals from King Krule on a couple of tracks, the blend of minimal electronic and ambient sounds complements each other seamlessly.  Stand out tracks: Home Recording, Break Well, Made to Stray, Slow, Sudden Ground.  17.  NOCEREMONY/// - NOCEREMONY///
NOCEREMONY/// are an enigma to say the least, hailing from Manchester and as evident in their name they love the use of capital letters, with every track name being written in capital letters itâs safe to say they get your attention before even listening to their music. NOCEREMONY/// are a modern day New Order with elements of synth pop likened to Hurts. The self-titled debut album is an emotional driven record, pulling on the heart strings of many with the emotive lyrics and production. Â Grab the tissues and get ready to be moved.
Stand out tracks: HURTLOVE, FEELSOLOW, AWAYFROMHERE, PARTOFME.  18.  PARTYNEXTDOOR â PARTYNEXTDOOR
Although technically this isn't an album, the 10 tracks suggest otherwise. Toronto has unearthed some hidden gems in recent times with a little help from Hip Hopâs Mr Nice Guy: Drake. His undying love for his native Toronto doesn't stop at just rapping about it, but by promoting and discovering new artists from his city. First came The Weeknd, now make way for PARTYNEXTDOOR. The 19 year old lothario and his seductive hazy driven R&B are here to party next door (hookers and drugs included) , no pun intended. PARTYNEXTDOOR is a less intense listen that The Weeknd, made up of 10 short tracks one of which featuring Drake himself.  Stand out tracks: Wild Bitches, Right Now, Wus Good/Curious, Over Here. 19.  Swim Deep â Where The Heaven Are We Â
Part of the revival of the guitar band movement that is currently happening in Birmingham, along with their local friends and rivals Peace, Swim Deepâs debut album is a colourful, homage to American surf music and will leave you with a smile from ear to ear. Primarily recorded to be listened to in the British summer, at a festival or BBQ, Where The Heaven Are We is a dream-pop sensation.  Stand out tracks: Francisco, King City, Honey.  20.  The 1975 â The 1975
The 1975 have had probably the most success out of all newly discovered bands of 2013. The baby faced, raggy looking quartet have become another export of fine guitar bands to hail from Manchester. Â Their self-titled debut album was one of the most anticipated of the year following three stunning EPâs, a top 10 single âChocolateâ and playing at most festivals across the calendar. A great indie-pop record with depth, 16 tracks worth of depth to be precise filled with 80s inspired riffs, pop melodies and iconic interludes. Â Stand out tracks: The City, M.O.N.E.Y, Sex, Talk.Â
MyPod Shuffle - November
A rather delayed playlist again this month but that seems to be a recurring theme as of late. In November we had a number of great releases, Lady Gaga's latest album ARTPOP was a main talking point, to be fair it's pretty good, have you listened to it yet? Blood Orange released the fantastic Cupid Deluxe, which I reviewed for Gigwise recently (shameless plug). But already this month there have been some corkers, so next months playlist will be a good'en.Â
Have a great Christmas and New Year xo.Â

MyPod Shuffle - October
This month's MyPod Shuffle playlist is noticeably shorter than usual but that doesn't necessarily mean October was a shy month musically due to wanting to keep these playlists fresh with new tracks and ones I have discovered as of late, albeit a short playlist, next month's playlist will return to it's usual, full self. Disclosure unveiled a new gem on their SoundCloud page recently with 'Apollo' and R Kelly did likewise with 'Cookie'.Â
Disclosure â Apollo
Drake â 305 To My City
Four Tet â Kool FM
Fryars â Cool Like Me

James Arthur â James Arthur (Syco)
Winning the X Factor over the years hasnât always guaranteed success; in fact the runner-up of the talent show has often enjoyed a more successful career, Olly Murs and JLS to name a few have gone on to lengthy successful careers although the later announced their split early this year. 2012 winner James Arthur releases his debut self-titled album, and it seems like the timing of the release couldnât have been planned any better, with this yearâs show now underway it will provide Arthur a platform to showcase his new material and reinstate the attention of many.
Itâs arguable that Arthur is one of the most popular X Factor contestants to date. Already with BRIT Award nomination for his winning single âImpossibleâ which was the fastest selling single of 2012 in the UK and has become the biggest selling X-Factor single of all-time, seeing it top the iTunes charts in 34 different countries, with all that in his locker the young singer/songwriter has managed to prolong the hype since winning the competition at the back end of last year. Unlike some of his counterparts (Steve Brookstein, Leon Jackson) Arthur is held in high regard and that faith has been repaid with âYour Nobody âTil Somebody Loves Youâ reaching number 2 in the UK Top 40, which is nothing more than album filler according to Arthur, some may argue that point but nonetheless an exciting lead single.
The debut album of any winning X Factor contestant has always been put in the spotlight but the self-titled record will surprise many, showcasing Arthurâs song writing ability and soulful vocal range. All the big guns have been drafted in on this record, with man of the moment Naughty Boy producing four tracks along with BRIT award winner Emeli Sande featuring on track âRosesâ, a pleasant ballad while the contrast of Sande and Arthurâs vocals blend seamlessly with Arthur not sounding more than within his comfort zone. The song titles offer an insight into the theme of this record, âNew Tattooâ, âRecoveryâ and âSuicideâ to name a few; certainly puts him in a different category to the likes of Olly Murs. âNew Tattooâ is a heavily guitar driven track with endless amounts of swagger, much like the attitude of this record, itâs brave and bold with what seems like so much riding it on being successful. Whilst âRecoveryâ offers a glimpse into his past, âFlyinâ is the most interesting track, short-lived but comparable to the likes of Plan B, giving listeners an insight into where he may go with the next record.
James Arthur will no doubt be compared to a range of artists with this debut album and the attention will almost certainly undermine the release, but this record is surprising to say the least. Itâs a very brave debut from Arthur, who has been labelled one of the more talented winners from the television show and this record certainly provides Arthur with a stepping stone to becoming a successful established artist.
Rating â 7/10

NOCEREMONY/// - NOCERMONY/// - NOC///
For an emerging band seeking identity in such a manufactured industry can be a tough task but look no further in the form of NOCEREMONY/// who are simply an enigma. Hailing from Manchester, the trio are made up of Victoria, James and Kelly. Thatâs simply all the information known of this band which is rather refreshing if you think of how so many generic and manufactured pop acts crave the exposure and limelight of popular mainstream music. Everything about NOCEREMONY/// sets the band aside from their contemporaries, the use of block capitals catch the attention of the eye immediately which is a tried and tested theme throughout the course of the record with extended use on the track names, listing them as run on words, a nightmare for music writers alone.
NOCERMONY/// is their self-titled debut album, released on their very own NOC/// label, although the album may be deemed short boasting only nine tracks which spans over half an hour listen, the results are quite simply stunning.
HURTLOVE opens the album and sets the tone throughout the record with a wonderful piano melody layered with melancholic electro and pulsating drums. HURTLOVE is the lead single which has received praise of the highest level from radio stations and musicians alone. FEELSOLOW continues the post electronic infused melodic pop sound they have created, with the term âlush popâ being on everyoneâs lips. Although the tracks are short lived, NOCERMONY/// keep you captivated throughout as if they are taking you through a fairy tale of some sort, and Victoria acting as the narrator. The first of two features on the record comes in the shape of HEARTBREAKER as Joey Santiago from The Pixies is drafted in on guitar to nerve shredding effect, dreamy electronic pop never sounded so good.
WARSONGS breaks the album up way through as the synths and electronic sounds are put aside briefly, with Victoriaâs vocals owning the spotlight on this portrayal of an intimate live setting as âevery night I miss, every step I miss you, every breathe I miss you, please donât goâ even leaving the most cocksure men feeling susceptible and emotional. AWAYFROMHERE follows swiftly, featuring James Vincent McMorrow (Irelandâs answer to Bon Iver) whoâs vocals sound more beautiful on every listen, the only criticism being the track is too short lived with McMorrowâs vocals not being exploited enough.
PARTOFME is for the nocturnal post New Order generation, hazy vocals and mesmerizing electronics dominate the sound waves, a clever production that leads to quite the payoff, exhibiting the drive and talent NOCERMONY/// retain in their locker. DELIVERUS and HEAVYHOUR bring the record to a close with enthusiasm and in transcendent fashion, leaving you susceptible and eagerly awaiting a little more punch.
NOCERMONY/// will leave you feeling mesmerized and vulnerable at best, itâs gripping and genre defying in every way. Their sound is unique, and although the record is short, that wonât leave you thinking you wasted your money on it, quite the contrary. NOCERMONY/// somehow pull of pushing the parameters of pop music alone, cementing their place within the increasingly popular melodic post electronic pop genre.

MyPod Shuffle- August & September
This MyPod Shuffle post is overdue to say the least; it seems working full time and balancing out a reasonably healthy social life has put blogging to one side for the time being, but that will change.I hope.
Over the last few months there have been a number of new releases, some of which Iâve listened too and some I have completely forgotten about. NOCERMONY/// and London Grammar are two albums that have been on repeat as of late, while the likes of Justin Timberlake and King Krule failed to capture my attention, which is incredibly hard for me to admit. This playlist features some UK Top 40 hits â I often tend to stray away from the charts as they are to say it kindlyâŠbollocks.

Haim â If I Could Change Your Mind

Lxury â J.A.W.S.
Route 94 â My Love (Ft Jess Glynn)
Friend Within â The 90s Rhythm
Just Kiddin â Feeling Better
Samo Sound Boy â Your Love (Shlohmo Remix)
The 1975 â M.O.N.E.Y
Kill Them With Colour â All You Need
TYTHE â Careless Woman
One Republic â Counting Stars
Skream â Rollercoaster
Sam Smith â Nirvana
AlunaGeorge â Body Music (Island)
After being branded the âfuture of UK Popâ and hailed as one of the best acts of 2013 without an album in their locker shows just how highly AlunaGeorge (Aluna France and George Reid) are rated. The electro-pop duoâs debut effort Body Music is every bit exciting and fresh, yet fails to deliver the cutting edge we all had hoped for. The result unfortunately is disappointing and the reason why is even more disappointing.
Firstly, the album boasts fourteen tracks, yet almost half of them have already been released on the radio, internet or via previous EPâs, which portrays the album as an extended edition of these previously released tracks. Almost every person on the planet has heard âYour Drums, Your Loveâ and âAttracting Fliesâ as a result of nationwide and global radio exposure, along with âYou Know You Like Itâ and âJust A Touchâ following closely. Furthermore âDiverâ which comes half way through the album, albeit disappointing and forgettable, is another familiar track after it was unveiled online and played on radio over four months ago, already you can see that a number of tracks arenât ânewâ.
AlunaGeorge undoubtedly have the talent and certainly are unique in their own way, yet Body Music leaves you feeling bitterly disappointed with the lack of new material. Itâs a blessing in disguise âWhite Noiseâ, their top 10 hit with production duo of the moment Disclosure didn't appear on the album as a bonus track.
Despite the lack of new material on the album, the tracks that are new are great and certainly live up to their post 90âs R&B electronic infused sound that has been held in such high regard. AlunaGeorge have often spoken of their admiration for Timbaland and The Neptunes as their inspiration, which is evident throughout the album, with the duo certainly experimenting with a number of tracks. Album opener âOutlinesâ is a mature, emotive R&B track with spacious atmospheric production from Reid. âKaleidoscope Loveâ is destined for the top 10 with the funky and catchy chorus alone. âLost & Foundâ is a take on various niche dance genres and blended into one, with Francisâ vocals being regurgitated and pitched to the fullest extent. âFriends To Loversâ is the last of the new material in typical love ballad fashion. Although Francisâ vocals and approach is deemed young, immature and adorable, a number of tracks boast an erotic nature, with Reidâs production being the soundtrack to her erotic tales. A rather fitting cover of Montell Jordanâs 90s anthem âThis Is How We Do Itâ concludes the album.
Body Music is an ode to 90s R&B and Pop, drawing influences from an array of artists including Aaliyah, yet the production on the album becomes tame as the album progresses. Reidâs production is due credit on a few tracks though, it has to be otherwise the duo wouldnât be in the position they are today. To compare Body Music to Disclosureâs debut album Settle, seems wrong but both have been hailed as the front runners for rejuvenating British Pop, yet Settle is unfortunately a country mile ahead of Body Music in more ways than one.Â
Chart topping producer Naughty Boy has made his debut album Hotel Cabana available for preview via his SoundCloud page, albeit short previews of each track, the album hosts an array of artists from the UK and acorss the pond. The features include: Emelie Sande, Professor Green, Gabrielle, Dan Smith (Bastille), Wretch 32, Ed Sheeran, Wiz Khalifa and more.Â
Naughty Boy topped the UK Charts with single 'La La La' featuring Sam Smith, which also features on his debut record. You can only Expect more Top 40 hits from the British producer.Â
Hotel Cabana is out Aug 26th.
MyPod Shuffle - July
This month's MyPod shuffle has been a long time coming due to having no laptop at my disposal, but that has now changed. Along with having no laptop, for the last month I had been interning at Freeman PR in London. July was a busy month for myself personally, but I was able to listen to a wealth of new music whilst at my internship. This month saw the release of II, the second album from German production trio Moderat (Modeselektor and Apparat) with lead single 'Bad Kingdom' being chosen as the highlight of July's playlist.
