@myrdered ᅳ﹙ ➷ ﹚ᅳ ❝ miscommunication is a shitty trope in sitcoms and it’s even shittier in real life, so let’s just take a moment to breathe. and let’s get on the same page. alright? ❞
She almost hates that she isn’t mad enough to ignore his logic. Elizabeth couldn’t ever really be that mad at him though, could she? Not truly. Amber hues flit from the nothing she was fidgeting with and land on Desmond, still burning with her own misguided frustrations ( even despite her new attempts to snuff them out ). A sigh and she leans back, dropping her gaze once more.
Was it even miscommunication if it was something she made herself upset about? If it was something only she was upset about? It certainly didn’t make it right, affecting Desmond too, but Elizabeth wasn’t always known for her understanding and compassionate nature, was she? Something she was now reminded of needing more work on... for his sake. And that somehow only makes her more upset ( but, thankfully, only inwardly. baby steps. ).
❝ You know, I hate when you’re the level headed one sometimes.. ❞ A remark that was meant to be lighthearted, to ease herself toward the same page he’d mentioned.
