Yo in my fish's bowl (his name is batman) I had the glass circle things instead of gravel for a bit but it got realllllyyyy gross in there in like 2 days, keep the gravel, it's easier in the end and promotes good bacteria in there too

*whispers* I know we only sometimes talk but I'm studying abroad in Italy rn and can confirm even just after this week that the states do not understand shit about espresso p much everywhere I have ever been there

The thing is, no one outside of Italy does understand much about Espresso, not even in Europe, LOL.

I know this might sound uppity but you know, everyone has their kind of coffee which is fine but if you are selling an Espresso that costs me 4$ then at least make sure you’re actually doing it right, you know?

It’s not difficult at all, especially if you have a machine yet it’s so difficult to find a decent coffee! I was in NYC for the past week and we went to Kesté in Bleecker Street which is a pizzeria owned and run by Italians. When we asked if their Espresso was actually a real Espresso, the italian waiter answered me, a bit offended and arrogantly, “it’s even better than Italian, it’s Neapoletan.” (that is, of Naples, where you can allegedly drink the best Espresso ever). Truth is it was watery. Better than most, definitely, but still far from what you find in any shitty Italian bar. And they were all italians, we spoke in Italian so they knew exactly what we were talking about.

So, I really don’t know what it is, maybe the coffee blend they use or maybe they just add too much water and not enough coffee.

Anyway, if you like it, then enjoy it while you’re here and also, hope Italy is treating you well! :)
