When the heat and smog in the city became unbearable, they took the old family car and visited some sights far away from the big city. They also wanted to spend a few days at a hotel by the river.

An unconventional apartment in the middle of San Myshuno with historical details. Still affordable back then. The bathtub in the kitchen, wallpaper is peeling, the heating doesn't work properly (or gets way too hot).
But it's their home. And they love it.
Moving day turned out to be pure chaos. (GIF creation too. Sorry for the poor quality. Any advice is very welcome! <3)

They've checked in at the Golden Palm Hotel. It was still the off-season, and there weren't many Sims by the pool. Using the 'Suite Life Mod' by Lot 51, which is great!
The children loved spending their afternoons playing outside at Grandfather's bookstore while he listened to the radio. "The sky over Wadi el-Shams is turning orange, a sandstorm is brewing. Stay indoors and close the windows", the radio voice said. "Kids, let's go inside. It's about to get pretty harsh out here!"
