Page 26. --- Boy, 14, Futilely Tries to Grapple With Marauder --- Special to The Star Belleville, April 10. - An unknown assailant attacked a 14-year-old boy and father late Saturday night, striking both on the head with a long wooden club.
W. E. Mifflin, with his son, Westley, was attacked as they walked around the side of their home.
Wesley was struck a glancing blow before the man turned on Mifflin and struck him, inflicting a long wound on his head. The young lad grabbed the man by the coat, and Mifflin, in a dazed condition, also tried to grapple with him, but the assailant escaped, leaving his cap and club behind.
