Are all of the brood X cicadas dead now? They left a future generation of eggs, right? Kind of sad to think about...

There may be some stragglers, I imagine, but in general I think they were set to die out around the beginning of July. But yes, they've mated and laid eggs, and the nymphs will hatch and live underground for the next 17 years until they emerge again :)

Honestly can’t tell if this is serious or not..? There are all types of weird and it can be both bad and good. Wearing a silly hat? Good weird. Zealously supporting a white supremacist? Bad weird.

I can’t believe this is considered a hot take at all but like

Metroid is not a flagship Nintendo title the way Mario and Zelda and Pokemon and Animal Crossing are. arguably it never was and unless something major changes (like Metroid trying to drag in the late teen crowd even more compared to the Prime trilogy) I doubt it ever will be considering how it appeals almost exclusively to Nintendo gamers who think that Call of Duty and Fortnite or whatever appeals too much to the Xbox/Playstation crowd

I understand how frustrating that can be but it’s not a Nintendo franchise that’s nearly or absolutely starved of good content (hi F-Zero, hi Chibi Robo)
