Finished commission for @ozarlu-seda (PickledGuava on AO3), of their fic Looking For A Better Tomorrow

It was pretty fantastic to be asked to represent in an image not only the moment when a character reaches an emotional breakdown, but also why, and where it all came from.

It took quite some time and it's probably some of the most complex work I've ever made, so I'm happy and proud to finally show it to the world :D

Here's @dininginspace 's finished commission, portraying Darth Vader dealing with the physical and emotional aftermath of the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. I always enjoy the process of making art for others immensely, but it's not often that someone commissions me something that hits my personal interests like a targeted laser. I can't express how fantastic bringing this piece to life was, but it would probably involve a LOT of keyboard mashing T u T <3 Since a few people mentioned enjoying seeing wips, I figured I'd make a timelapse video for the final half or so of the whole process (I'm putting it below the cut along with a few close-ups)

I love Thrawn, and my favourite thing about this character is his habit of studying enemies through their cultural productions, and I love tintinnabulum and the wild obsession with dicks there's been through history in many cultures. I feel like these two concepts should at some point collide in the most psychic-damaging way possible for human ensign Eli Vanto 8) For reference, here's a photo of the real deal~
