I have an explanation. I’m not tagging this as anything because it’s partially personal but I trust you guys to not be weird about me talking about DID/my system?? I hope?? Considering my about says I am an introject of Courfeyrac lol?
Anyways, it actually stemmed from my headmate (other alter in the system), an introject of (alter based on) Joly, doing way too much research on animals and randomly stating mating facts out of the blue to our partner, so we were like “Okay, your source would do this...” and it’s become a running joke for our system

Systems work!
So I have this system in writing....
Whenever I have inspired myself enough to continue writing my stories, I always put TV on and start playing some movies I feel like watching. And at the same time I write the story, usually always enjoying a cup of coffee while at it. The perfect start off to a productive writing session!
But in the end, I do none of these. I miss most of the movie, end up with only about 100-200 written words in a day if even that, and hey... forget to drink the freaking coffee in middle of my so called "inspiration", and find it cold from the floor in the evening...
So yes. Systems rule! ;D
