Lecture by SUSIE QUILLINAN on her practice in Perú:
Using huacos for sound installation by keeping the moche language and telling their stories is a great method to decolonize artifacts.

Stepping away from a history of violence to a future of care.

Research can be individually and taking on quite different forms. Art takes on many different ways. A moment of thought in the middle of a unstable world seems so refreshing.
In the session today we experimented with generating images using AI. My prompt of the image above has been “black woman without blackeing the skin”. It is interesting to see how images of women are generally biased by being forever young and pretty.
Deep listening means to also use the body while listening, use emotions and mind for narrations that are invisible. A face can tell thousands of stories. It is like a river, flowing through different times of life. Lucia Farinati and Claudia Firth, The Force of Listening (Errant Bodies Press, 2017), “Chapter 1: Practices of Listening,” pp. 23-39, and “Chapter 6: Ethics of Listening,” pp. 132-145 - 32 pages

Going out, looking at the sky and dreaming: in an Appartement building there is too much light. Still it feels like spring. Embracing the evening, dreaming of a life without wars and fears.
A night is not a night, it has wonders and surprises.
