One of my best childhood friends passed away today. My heart is heavy. I had so many wonderful memories that got me through the crappy times in high school. I'll miss our memories, our laughing, our nicknames for each other, our little club called "The high five," the stupid young things we did. Everything. I can't believe I heard your voice last week and we were supposed to hang this week. I should've contacted you to follow through. The fact that it kept tugging at me in the very back of my brain was for a reason. Today I learned that you should never take anyone for granted, life is so short and all the memories you want to create with someone, do them while you still can.
