🔥 the witcher
I was pleasantly confused by the separate timelines, happy to let the show be a general cacophony of delightful nonsense until it resolved itself---but honestly I think that was a major swing & miss by the creators. It wouldn’t have taken much effort to clarify what was happening when; even rural Poland went through shifts in culture, style, language, etc. over the years. The “it’s not Gamey Thrones???” reviews are idiotic, but the “....what the heck is happening here?” reviews are honest and onto something, the show should have addressed and clarified it narratively.
