He’s so good at making it seem like he’s not thinking anything sexual and it just comes out that way. I don’t know which is the actual case sometimes. I think most of the times he recognizes that there’s probably a double meaning, but one of the meanings is non-sexual and he’s hoping most of the audience interprets it that way.

Chapter 7
Elizabeth’s POV
I wonder where Ana could have gone.
“I swear she was just here,” I mumble to myself. I walk around, but don’t see her anywhere. I figure that she probably needed some time alone and went into a different room. I see a small group of people walk past the entrance and I follow them, curious about who they were and where they were going. They opened the VIP doors and walked inside, I ran inside, slipping through the door before it shut. I was in a dark hallway and the people I had been following where no where in sight. I walk slowly, hearing my footsteps echo through the empty hall. I see another door and wonder I should open it. Well, I think to myself, since I’m already in here, I might as well. I push the door open and find a dressing room. I look around a bit and hear faint voices. I run and hide behind a cabinet, hoping that they wouldn’t catch me. I hear the door open and I see shadows on the wall.
“We got twenty minutes,” I hear someone say, “I’ll come get you.”
“That’s fine,” another voice, that sounds familiar to me, “I might go out and look around.”
I hear footsteps and hear the door close. I close my eyes, relived. I still see a shadow and know that someone is here. How am I supposed to get out of here? I think to myself. I suck in a breath as the shadow grows larger.
“You can come out now,” someone says. I gasp, they found me. I slowly stand, turning to face my idol. His eyes meet mine and I can feel my heart race.
“What are you doing here?” he asks me.
“I...uh,”the words don’t come out of my mouth, I have no idea what to say, “I’m sorry,” I manage to blurt.
“Did you get lost?” he asks me.
“No...um...I saw some people walking in here.. and I wanted to know what they were doing.”
I hear a knock on the door, and I feel panic fill me.
“Get in,” he says opening a closet door, “Just sit still for a minute. I don’t think they’d like you being in here.”
I walk inside, closing the door behind me. I hear the door opening and through the small crack in the door, I can see someone walk in. A lady wearing a suit walks in, a group of cameramen following her.
“Hello, Sam Smith is it?,” she says, “I was wondering if I could ask you a few questions.”
He looks around nervously and I close my eyes, hoping that they wouldn’t stay long.
“Sorry,” he says sheepishly, “Now is not really a good time.”
The lady nods, “I understand, maybe another time then.”
She walks out and I let myself relax, the danger had passed. I push the door open, but I don’t stand up.
“So what are you doing here?” I ask him.
“I have a concert tomorrow and this is the closest hotel I could find.”
“That’s cool,” I say, “To be honest I’ve always wanted to go to one of your concerts, but I’ve never had the chance.”
“Really?” his voice sounds as if he's surprised.
“Yeah. Ever since I was fourteen, I was completely obsessed with you. I knew almost everything about you and I always tried to keep up with what you were doing, not to mention I listened to your album like seven times everyday.”
“You know the concerts in three days,” he says, “I don’t think it’d be a problem if I let you in.”
I look him in the eye, feeling my heart beat faster, “Are you serious?”
“Yes,” he says, “If you want to, I’d like for you to come.”
“Of course I want to go!!” I resist the urge to hug him.
He laughs and gets a paper from the table and scribbles something on it. He hands it to me and I see that it’s his phone number. I walk to the door and open it halfway before turning to him once more “Then it’s a date,” I say, immediately regretting it.
He looks at me and smiles, “Yeah. Guess I’ll see you there sweetheart.”
I almost had a heart attack.
Chapter 8
(Ana’s POV)
I was never good at dancing, but being here, swaying softly to the sound of faint music made me forget about all of that. I was careful not to step on Mark’s foot, or do anything else wrong for that matter. I can’t bring myself to look directly into his eyes, and it makes me blush just thinking about it. Everything about this was surreal. My hand on his broad shoulders one of his hands holding my waist and softly tracing circles on my back, the other intertwined with mine. I couldn’t believe that all this was happening. I feel Mark gently squeeze my hand and I turn my attention to him.
“You okay?” he asks, “We can stop if you want to.”
“No, I’m fine,” I say.
“Are you sure?”
“Yes I’m sure,” I smile, looking him straight in the eye.
“I’m glad you’re here,” he says quietly.
“Me too.”
He doesn’t say anything. I realize that we’re standing still, getting lost in each other's eyes. I feel my heart race, and I wanted this amazing feeling to last forever. Everything around us disappeared, it was just me and him. I wonder what was going on through his head, but I hoped that he was feeling the same things I was. I snap out of my fantasy when I hear glass shattering. I look over and see punch spilled all across the floor. Everyone in the room is quiet, and I wonder who had broken the bowl. People quickly hurry to clean up the mess, and everything goes back to normal. I feel exhausted and sit down in the nearest seat. My head is throbbing from all the loud music and I suddenly feel extremely sleepy.
“I’m going to the bathroom,” I tell Mark. I see disappointment flash in his eyes for a second before they just as quickly go back to being full of warmth. He squeezes my hand, then nods and sits down. As I begin to walk away I feel a hand on my waist quickly turn me back around and the next thing I know, Mark plants a shy kiss on my lips. Just as quickly he lets me go and as I start to walk away again I see him looking at me with the biggest smile on his face. I walk out of the room and go to the bathroom, but find that it’s occupied. My legs refuse to hold me, so I slump down onto the floor. My mind wanders to the kiss but after a few minutes, I begin to wonder if someone was really in the bathroom or not.
“Are you okay?”
I look up and see Link standing over me. I try to compose myself a bit and manage to mumble a, “Yeah, I’m just waiting for the bathroom.”
“You want a water or something?”
“No, I’m good,” I say, “I was just going to wash my face, but thank you.”
“There’s a kitchen,” he says, “Want to go there?”
I shrug, “Sure.” He offers me his hand to help me up and as I struggle to make my legs cooperate, he puts his hand around my waist and helps me to the kitchen. I reach out and turn the faucet on, I let it run on my hands for a little then put a little on my face. I shake my head, trying to get my hair out of the way.
“Here, let me help you.”
I feel Link’s finger’s tickle my neck as he pulls my hair back.
“That better?” I can feel his breath on my ear.
I nod as a warmth crawls up my cheeks. I turn the faucet off as Link lets go of my hair but he doesn’t move back. I manage to turn around to face him and he looks at me with a shy smile, not saying anything. He puts one of his hands on my cheeks and wipes away a drop of water near my eye, his hand feels soft and warm and I try to resist leaning my head into his hand as it lingers just a second longer than necessary. Laughing, I flick my fingers at him, droplets of water landing on his face. He laughs and wipes his cheek, stepping back a little. Although the water helped wake me up, it doesn’t last for long, after a few seconds, I feel my drowsiness return.
“You should probably go home,” Link tells me, “It’s really late.”
“What time is it?” I ask.
He reaches into his pocket and takes out his phone, “It’s five thirty.”
I hadn’t realized how late it was, and I remembered that Ezgi and Elizabeth were probably waiting on me to get home.
“I..have to go,” I say.
“You sure you want to drive all by yourself?”
“My sister can drive,” I say.
“And what if she can’t?” he asks, sounding persistent.
“Ezgi can drive,” I reply, “Don’t worry I’ll be fine.”
“If you say so,” he mumbles, he looks down at the floor then back up at me as if wanting to say something, but he stays quiet.
“Don’t worry, Link, I’ll be fine.” I walk out of the kitchen and back into the living room, Link following me. I search around, until I see a familiar face.
“Hey Ezgi,” I say.
She turns to me, “Hey Ana! I was wondering where you went.”
“Where’s Rhett?” Link asks.
“Oh, he went to go look for you,” she said, “He said something about having to catch a flight.”
“Where’s Elizabeth?” I ask her.
“She went to the car,” Ezgi says, “She was tired.”
“We should get going,” I say, “It’s late.”
“Okay, let’s go then.”
I say goodbye to Link, who doesn’t seem happy about me leaving. As we walked down the sidewalk towards the parking lot I see Rhett standing a few feet away from me using his phone. He notices our approach and walks towards us.
“Hey have you seen Link anywhere?” he sounds nervous.
“We just saw him inside,” I say.
“We have to catch a flight, but the car broke down and I don’t think there are any vacant hotels.”
“You could stay with us.”
I look past Rhett and see my sister standing there.
“What are you doing?” I ask.
“Well I was going to go tell you guys to hurry up, but you’re already here.”
Rhett turns to her, “Would it be too much trouble?”
“Nah, we got tons of space,” she says, “Besides, I wouldn’t mind sleeping on the floor.”
“Thank you,” he says, “Now I just have to find Link.”
“Hey man, I got your text, I-” Link stops talking at the sight of me.
“I thought they were leaving,” he says.
“They’re letting us stay over at their place,” Rhett says.
“Really?” Link smiles at me, “Thank you so much.”
“This is really nice and all, but can we please go?”
I glare at Elizabeth, she ruined the moment as always.
Link offers me his hand, I smile and feel the softness of his skin as our fingers intertwine. We start walking back to our car and am suddenly hit with the realization that I left Mark waiting for me. The guilt slams into me and I let go of Link’s hand. He looks at me obviously worried, but I manage to smile and he smiles back.
“I think I forgot something,” I say, looking back to the building, “You go on ahead, I’ll catch up.”
He nods and I run back into the building, I spot Mark in the center of the room talking to Jack. There’s almost no one left, and I walk over to him.
“Hey Mark,” I say, “Sorry I took so long.” I feel the guilt bury deeper into my heart as I avoid telling him exactly why I took so long.
He smiles, “It’s fine, I thought you had already left me,” he winks. The guilt sinks in more.
“Aren’t ya going to introduce me?” Jack says.
“Oh right,” Mark says “This is Ana, the girl I was telling you about.”
“Ah, so your the lassie Mark can’t get out of his head,” Jack says, “Mark can’t stop talking about ya.”
I smile at the ground as I feel myself blush.
Mark clears his throat, “Um..yeah so...Maybe you should go, Jack.”
He nods, “Of course. I understand. I wouldn’t want to mess with ya girl,” he says jokingly.
Mark scowls at him and he laughs walking away.
“So are staying here for a little longer?”
“No, I..well, my sister wants to leave already,” I say, “Besides we’re having some guests staying over.”
He pouts, “You’re having a sleepover and you didn’t invite me? Now that’s just rude.”
“You can come if you want to,” I say before thinking about it.
He smiles, “Really? I’d love to.”
“Sounds good then,” I say. We walk back to the parking lot and he’s a few steps behind me as I see Elizabeth with her arms full of burgers and fries.
Chapter 9
(Ezgi’s POV)
As we start piling into the car, I hop on first with Rhett following me close behind and we sit together in the back of the car. I immediately notice that Ana is bringing both her boys home and the tension between Link and Mark is almost physical. I always knew how much it tore her to pieces having to decide between them but I can’t help but giggle at the thought of them both wanting the same girl and that girl being my best friend. It all just seemed so surreal, but yet this was our reality and I couldn’t be happier. Ana sits inbetween Mark and Link in the seats in front of ours and Elizabeth is sitting in the drivers seat with her bae in the passenger, the burgers and fries. As we start driving Ana turns and motions at me with her eyes to look at something. I follow her gaze to the cracks between the front seats when I see what Ana wanted me to see. Mark and Link each holding one of Ana’s hands, while they try to be incospicuous and gaze out the windows. I somehow manage to stifle my laugh and I snap a picture with my phone. I start to feel sleepy as we make our way home and Rhett puts his arm around my shoulder. I lean into him, letting his body warm mine. I look up at him with what I’m sure are the biggest heart eyes, and he squeezes me softly and smiles. He leans towards me and buries his face into my neck. I feel his warm breath as he whispers beautiful things to me. His lips brush softly against my skin as he talks, sending chills down my spine. He uses his free hand to tilt my face towards him. He looks at me for a few seconds and his eyes sparkle even in the darkness. He slowly leans toward me and my eyes shut as his lips meet mine. Electricity. I feel the spark in my heart slowly turn into a brightly burning flame. He kisses me slowly and tenderly at first, but I can feel him begin to struggle to contain his passion. The kiss lasts only a few seconds but at the same time it feels like an eternity. As he begins to move his head back, he plants one last quick kiss on my lips and winks at me. I can’t help but grin from ear to ear. He holds my hand in his and kisses it before softly tracing hearts on my skin. I close my eyes and think to myself about everything that has happened. I yawn and snuggle closer to him, enjoying the warmth of him.
“I love you,” I murmur, not thinking twice about what I was saying.
He smiles, “I love you too.”
The last thing I feel before I fall asleep is a quick tender kiss on my forehead.
