Bobby Wilson - My Life Is Gonna Be A Myth To Live By (2/?)
Impulsive, argumentative, and fiercely loyal - that’s how Bobby’s friends and family would describe him. He’s quiet, but he’ll do anything for those he loves.
But things aren’t going too well for Bobby Wilson right now. His sister might be dead, his dad won’t look at him, and his eyes are so painful he can barely keep them open. Things only get worse from there as he’s forced to keep a rather big secret from his friends, and inadvertently ends up almost killing Alex in an attempt to protect him from an asshole on the pier.
He wants nothing more than to fix what he’s destroyed, but he can’t do it alone. Reggie, however, is always ready to lend a helping hand.

Reggie Peters - 'My Life Is Gonna Be A Myth To Live By' (1/?)
Nobody was surprised when Reggie announced his intentions to become a licensed Fairy God-Parent - Reggie is a sweetheart, and he spends more time in the coffee shop handing out free coffees than making them. He just wants to make people’s day a little brighter, especially when it comes to Bobby. In fact, he considers it a little victory whenever he’s able to make the gruff boy crack a smile.
His limits are tested, however, when everything comes crashing down at once. His final exam is pushed forward, Bobby is sick, and Alex is missing. Reggie wants to help everyone, but he hasn’t got the slightest clue where to begin...

Bring All The Monsters Out To Play, Let All The Red Erase The Grey
A coffee-shop au with a twist, written for JATP TROPED Round 1!
Mythologicals, Reggie realised, were kind of like queer people. Sometimes your Token Human friend turns around one day and admits that actually, there was something they were suppressing all along, and they hadn’t realised.
--
Reggie’s final exam has been pushed forward at the most inconvenient time. Bobby is sick, Alex is missing, and now he needs to help a selkie get their ‘Happily-Ever-After’ in order to scrape a passing grade. Oh, and if his boss catches him handing out more free coffee, he’s gonna get fired.
Thank you to everyone for voting on round one of @troped-fanfic-challenge and liking this fic so much! I'm definitely going to be writing more in this universe, I love this little world I've made too much!
I'm gonna be releasing charcater moodboards over the next few days too, so keep an eye out for them as well! <3 <3
Thanks again, y'all <3
This is an Alex-centric fic set in my ao3 series based on my Troped Round 1 fic, where all the characters are some form of mythical creature!
Spoilers for that fic if you haven't read it, but Alex turns out to be a changeling! In this one I go into how Alex knew from a young age but kept it hidden from his parents, how it affected his relationship with his friends and family, and basically events leading up to the 'discovery' in my troped fic!
Oh, and a LOT of cute Willex moments, as well as scenes that didn't make it into the original troped fic :D
Me, throwing shitty confetti: HAVE SOME UNFINISHED BOGGIE
Words are hard and I am in a weird writing slump, so I'm gonna share the small bit I'm happy with in my most recent fic so that theres some more writing on my blog jkadfkjd
It's part of a follow up fic to 'Bring All The Monsters Out To Play, Let All The Red Erase The Grey' that I wrote for Troped Round 1, and probably won't make much sense if you haven't read that.
He can feel the warmth of Reggie’s hands leaching into his cheeks; his fingertips gently ghosting along Bobby’s cheekbones as he traces the scab left by the flying glass shard.
He can’t run this time.
His heart is beating so fast, Bobby fears it’s going to leap out of his chest. He can’t hear what Reggie is saying over the roar of his heartbeat in his ears, too focused on stopping the swirling in his head, but he jerks back when he feels Reggie’s fingers inch up and gently begin to move his sunglasses.
Immediately the warm touch is gone.
Instinctively he leans forward, chasing the warmth from Reggie’s palms as he gingerly opens his eyes; hoping, praying the boy hasn’t run from him. That’s all anyone has done recently - ran from him. They won’t look at his face, never mind look him in the eye. He will crumple if Reggie has been scared away, too.
To his ultimate surprise, Reggie is still standing there, almost nose to nose with Bobby, but his hands are hovering around Bobby’s shoulders now, unsure of where they can rest.
“I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have- I should have warned you I was going to- I should have asked-” Reggie stammers, but Bobby shushes him, gently placing a finger on his lips. Reggie’s cheeks instantly go as red as his flannel, obvious even through the tinted glasses lenses, and Bobby pulls his hand back as though he’s been burned.
“It’s okay, I just wasn’t expecting it. You know why I can’t take them off.” Bobby sighs, his eyes focused on his shoelaces.
“Can- can I try something?” Reggie asks, his fingers creeping gently back onto Bobby’s cheeks, and Bobby, tensively, finds himself nodding.
“Keep your eyes closed,” he whispers, and Bobby’s shoulders tense immediately - too many bad connotations with those words lately - but Reggie quickly follows with “Not in a bad way! In a… surprise way? Maybe? I-” he cuts himself off with a frustrated groan, and Bobby brings his hand up to cover Reggie’s still resting on his cheek, and swipes his thumb gently across the back of his hand; a mimicry of Reggie’s reassuring touch outside the van.
Agonisingly slowly, Reggie gently moves the sunglasses up Bobby’s face until they’re resting in his hair. Bobby obediently keeps his eyes closed, only because he knows that it could mean life or death for Reggie if he doesn’t.
He feels a gentle puff of breath across the bridge of his nose, and then Reggie is carefully and delicately ghosting his lips over Bobby’s closed eyelids, one by one, back and forth. His breath hitches, and he stifles a sob as he feels lips move tenderly move down his temple, kissing away the tears he wasn’t aware he was shedding.
When Reggie’s lips finally reach Bobby’s own, he can taste the salt from both of their eyes.
