The Sims 4 - The Shining Challenge

EDIT:  Updated 5 February 2021 for the new Paranormal pack.

So, I wrote out this challenge on my facebook about a month ago. The concept is based off of the Snowy Escape pack, but can be done with Seasons or cheats/mods.

1. Create your family - this must include two adults (one must have both the erratic and paranoid traits) and one child - see rules below for further info

2. Normal life span - if playing with Sims 3, choose long childhood, all other ages should be normal

3. Simulate winter or cold conditions as able to with your packs/mods/cheats (I suggest using Snowy Escape, if you have it)

4. Demolish all (or all but one) other build in the world of your choosing (Mt. Komorebi suggested, but no Sulani or other warm/desert worlds - I started in Newcrest) - see building rules below

5. The adults cannot have off build jobs - freelancer, self sell/publish, or odd jobs only

6. ALWAYS say yes if a sim asks to come over - if they die, you must place their gravestone on lot and keep their connection to the world

7. Try to survive the haunting and make it through until the child is a young adult

8. The child cannot get move or get married until they reach full adulthoo

The point system:

Reach 1000 points Each of your original sims to make it to the end (only dying via old age if applicable), gets you 100 pts.

For each additional sim you have born to the family (no adoptions), you get an additional 200 pts if all of the original sims survive. I.e. 3 original sims = 300 pts. 1 additional child = 200 pts for a total of 500 pts.

If your adult sims have children that live outside of the household, you MUST add them to your family. These sims do not count toward your sims born point count.

If a ghost kills or otherwise causes your sim's death, that's -100 pts per sim killed. I.e. a ghost scares your sim to death, breaks an object that malfunctions and kills your sim, etc. Sims born outside of your household and later added to your family DO count into this point total.

They must survive until the first child reaches the Adult stage. HOWEVER, each visiting sim to die because of a ghost gets you an additional 100 pts.

SIM FAMILY RULE: Turn autonomy on. IF you have murder mods or sim abilities that allow murder, ONLY your matriarch/patriarch is allowed to murder. This sim must have the erratic and paranoid traits.

Murder is -100 pts if conducted by anyone else. The designated murderer can murder a maximum of 6 sims for +50 pts per body/ghost (this does not count ghost-caused deaths).

BUILD RULE: If you have the Paranormal pack, you must set your lot to the Haunted House lot type.  You can have ANY build, but it must have the haunted trait. Additionally, if your build is more than your starting budget, you MUST start with zero simoleons.
