This abandoned house has sparked many a rumor amongst the sims...the outside is overgrown and the yard has dead plants, but the lights come on at night and the inside is supposedly in perfect condition. Is someone or something taking care of it? Will there be a sim brave enough to venture inside..?

This is Kirari, a sim based on Bjork. I'm doing a Legacy Challenge with her, so far she's pregnant and trying for Paranormal Investigator career.

I added a few elders to my household and named them all Cow (Cow 1, Cow 2, Cow 3) with the last name Livestock. They are blood bags for my vampire while she works and makes money for the manor, and survives the haunt.

What's better is that whenever one dies, I replace them, and their ghosts hang around the manor and make the place even more haunted.

Aww crap! I completely forgot about the NAP repeals! And I wanted to do that yesterday as well! Well, at least today is a work-from-home day, so he has the freedom to move about the neighborhood to do that. Also Gunther woke up from a nightmare about an overly muscular Yammachan. You do get nightmares that interrupt your sleep if you go to bed scared. Gunther’s want is to chat and get to know Rua so that’s nice and convenient for asking for a NAP repeal signature. All of Rua’s work assignments take him elsewhere so I asked Rua and called over Arun and managed to get the signatures I needed.

With that, Gunther and the boys are off to the Arts Quarter! Both work requirements have to be fulfilled there. Eating four dishes specifically at the arts quarter and trying three different flavors at the Bubble Blower, which has a public one at the Cabash Gallery. The food stands we have out there is a produce seller and a tea one. ...don’t know if the tea one would count and also there isn’t a vendor there so, let’s try eating some fresh fruit. Can now confirm that eating a grape doesn’t count! But by the time we ate said grape, a tea vendor arrived! Gunther is more of a coffee person but ya take what you can get! Even if this doesn’t count. It also didn’t count. Dang. I gotta get creative.

There’s a bartender on staff at the Cabash Gallery, so I ask for some food from him. Pita and Hummas, to be precise. There is also a fridge. No oven but enough to make some dishes that don’t require one. So I set Gunther a-cooking! And then, a-snacking! And ya wonder why Gunther gains such weight so quickly. All the while overly eager fans were cheering. If they were truly fans, they would leap to eat food he was making. And then I remembered I had the Laud Meal interaction, which essentially did that. Hooray.

Time to -ahem- blow some bubbles. Depending on the flavor cartages, these can give very good bonus moodlets! I just don’t normally go for them and go for yoga instead if I want buffs because it’s quite a bulky object to have around the house.

But enough of that, it’s time to go home and go to bed early. Those ghosties mess up our sleep schedule and he’s ultra-tired at 7PM. But we’re going to continue on because this’ll be a rather short post. Anyway!

Neighborhood Watch!

Brindleton Bay: The Guzman household recently moved out.

Newcrest: The Rios household recently moved out.

Okay byeeeeeee! Move into a place and swiftly move out I see.

Anyway, I had Gunther use his 4AM wake-up time to go and do some household maintenance. And by that, I mean get rid of the creepy things around the house and check the spiritual volatility. All is well and calm here.

Oh and Gunther has now officially smooched a ghost. Heh! And asked him to be his boyfriend. You go Gunther! And Woohoo’d as well, to finish things off. Heh. Finish. Even got a little achievement for for woohooing a ghost! Fun fun.

I attempted to regain passion before going into work and got the tense moodlet. Eh, let’s try one more day before career hopping. Return home from work, and we got the wants to analyze a book, which’ll give Gunther a nice inspired moodlet, and don’t stumble. So essentially, don’t do strenuous physical activity that much. Got it. He read the book and then I started work on his aspiration again, by skilling a bit more in the logic skill. We got the chess table but hey, it’s actually a clear night so we can go star-gazing once the sun goes down!

...or he could be sleepy at 7PM. Alas. Let’s just get a good workout in and then go to-

...ah. Yep. Say hello to Temperance everyone. She’s an angry ghost who will mess things up!

Including using your séance table to invoke and lower the spiritual vibes of your home to make things more trouble!

Look at ‘em. Look at the angry ghosties. I managed to catch them at a cute picture but they can get MAD. Not that Gunther knows or notices. He’s sleepy. He needs sleep. He chatted with a nicer ghost nearby and everything seemed fine so he’s going to bed.

...to get immediately disturbed by bumps in the night. Ah well.

Anyway, Guidry gives us some handy advice to deal with Temperance. A weird idol thing. I’d set it down but Gunther is busy eating food.

Oh, and we have this weird yellow ghost who will pop up rarely. Just kinda exhudes an aura of awkardness. And here, have a better look at the angriest of ghosts! Extremely sleepy, we send Gunther to bed. Good thing he has no work tomorrow!

How many days has it been in this household? Five? Well we definitely haven’t finished the aspiration yet so let’s continue onwards with Gunther! And it’s Spring Day!

Spring Day is basically Easter. I was basically trying to think up of major holidays around where I live and it is a culturally Christian one where Easter is a day off of work. Or a bank holiday around that time, at the very least. So Sims get a day off for today, convenient for those who actually work this holiday.

I always feel like I should have four traditions but the only thing I can think of is visiting a Holiday ceremony and I feel awkward because with most Sims I play with, I feel they are not very religious. The only real big thing is that, outside of the religious aspects growing up, was that my extended family had a meet up to eat and have that egg hunt. And I don’t think that’s quite universal. Anyway, in Gunther’s case, this isn’t really a big holiday in his mind. Nothing particularly outstanding and all that business. We could at least make a big breakfast! ...but we don’t really have anyone to share it with.

Not feeling up for a grand breakfast so we’ll go with a normal omlet. Gunther’s whim is to go and cloudgaze with Arun Bheeda, which, eh, sure but it’s rainy here in Windenburg. Let’s go see if it’s any bit sunnier in San Myshuno.

...it’s raining there as well. HA-RUMPH. Time to pull up my location proxmity document for any ideas on hopefully partially sunny weather. Yes I am that big of a stickler on my cloudgazing.

...Evergreen Harbor is windy. Close enough! Anyway, I did some light chatting with Arun about whom he was and what he did for a living before gazing at those clouds. Or rather, glancing up at the clear sky but meh. Anyway, cloudgazing is a passive way to gain friendship with others and a popular one for gaining friendship quick, since you just pop yourself down and gain those friendship points. Though the best way to gain friendship? Challenge someone to chess and let them casually talk. The near cheaty way though, is via just taking pictures together, as each one gives a nice relationship boost. I don’t like using it much, personally.

Anyway, we’re at the maker space in Evergreen Harbor so I figured, hey, why not actually take a look at the local crafting stations and see if any of them appeal to Gunther. We have woodworking, candle-making, a recycler and a fabrication station. Perhaps I would fabricate more but when I think about making your own furniture, I think about woodworking first. ...plus I’m not that big of a fan of the fabricated style.

Juice making does actually feel like it’d be something Gunther would be interested in. So real quick, I have him purchase some apples from the general gifts section and have him have at it! You just load the ingredients and then it’ll take some time for it to finish so I just let Gunther wander off and chat with whomever he wished. Soon he enjoyed the fruits of his labor! Quite literally!

And soon I actually had people swarm Gunther and realize...oh yeah he’s moderately famous. He has fans. I signed an autograph for one. It was also bugging me that Gunther had done nothing whatsoever for the holiday so I sent him egg hunting in the local bushes to fulfil that holiday requirement. And then I sent him out for a jog because...his stomach was getting a bit pudgy. Gotta look lean and trim and not slobbish! And then a chat with the Flower Bunny that was on this lot to fulfil that holiday requirement a little.

A return home to take a bath and to purchase a brand new personal juice fizzer! We’ll see if Gunther continues making his artisanal juice drinks. For now, he wants to write another book! I’m going for more poetry. It’s titled, ‘Fizzy Fizz Fuzz.’ And just as I set down, Guidry pops on up. Welp. Ghosties time!

I see angry specter’s pop up when someone wanted to drop in...and it was the spectres scaring off a vampire! They do that. Prevent those vampires from making housecalls...for YOUR BLOOD. If they actually sucked your blood in the first place, grumble. So while the spectres are scaring off the vampire, might as well have Gunther get to know Guidry some more...and he’s a foodie! Gunther likes making food so hey! Now he’s a lot more interested in this weirdly romantic ghost.

Also I tried giving an apple fizz juice to a spectre, and it still didn’t like it. Welp. We’re going to have to actually do a séance or something at this point. Anyway, I had Gunther get a late-night dinner and he dropped to chat with Guidry so I had him ask for advice on being scared and got recommended the Sacred Candles. They’re a thing you can get either by getting wax from specters or directly from the reward store. And so I decided to pick some up for Gunther’s bedroom and shed where the séance table is. For the mood. Because they will extinguish after awhile!

And with that I finally send Gunther off to bed, after trying to calm down just a little bit.

Laurie Watt in the Watt household has died. Laurie thought she could conquer a mountian, but the mountain conquered her.

Frances Kerns in the Kerns household has died. Frances blushed so much she exploded.

Gunther was so sleepy from the previous day’s stuff that he actually slept up until he had to go to work for the day. Welp! At least we gained a promotion for the day! Gunther is now, a Kitchen’s Worst Nightmare. Level 9 in the food critic career and already has the prerequisites to promote to the next one. Nice nice! Time to just have a little bit of rest and relaxation and time to ourselves. And GAME. The thing he passively picked up from his time with his lost love, gaming skills.

Gotta say, Gunther looks nice in the critics outfit. A refined, dignified man. And ready to mingle gentlemen~

Anyway, time to turn our attention to Gunther’s whims. Interestingly, thanks to his clumsy-ness, the dev team added in whims and wants to level up in handiness, which evidently, decreases stumbling. Who knew? Not I and not until the devs pointed it out. (I would think fitness would be more fitting but eh) We got woodworking table to work on, and it does seem fitting, but why not check and see what upgrades we can give to household appliances? We’re reinforcing the kitchen door and then working on the bathtub.

Whaaaat!? This house is haunted? But it wasn’t haunted when Gunther last lived here? Right? What caused this? Outside of me obviously.

...let’s just say something...bad happened here. It will be up to Gunther if he goes searching for answers.

Anyway, Haunted Houses! They’re a thing that was added in the Paranormal Stuff pack, making it already a VERY GOOD stuff pack. It has gameplay elements that are actually quite invigorating. And by that I mean, GHOSTIES. Or specters as they are actually called. But compared to the normal ghosts, these spectres are more just cute little blobs that hang around. Unless you anger them. Then spooky things happen. Mostly it’s just that night time on these lots will be quite a challenge to manage!

...though there is a trick. If you are off-lot at 9pm, spectres won’t come around that night. That actually happened the night before!

Oh and things like these puddles exist. You gotta go and take care of them as well. Or else!

I could purchase a seance table to be able to keep track of spiritual volatility. But I gotta be honest, Gunther doesn’t seem the type.

Oh and since -ahem- a certain someone can’t pop up anymore because ghosts get culled quick, I just generically set the lot to also have the spooky trait. So random ghosts will also pop up! Like the person who JUST died. Hiya! Anyway, it’s 10 hours until work so let’s try to get some sleep.

Mostly ghosts will just generally haunt your objects. And in turn, break them! You wanted to raise your handiness Gunther, now you will have LOADS of practice doing so.

And here is what a ghostie – er – specter, looks like! ADORABLE. Very huggable. Alas they can’t be hugged. For they are ghostie.

Also we got this. Less cute. More unsettling and creepy.

Anyway, I set Gunther to repairing those broken toilets and cleaning up. And smashing the hands. Anyway, you can deal with these ghosties by attempting to be friendly or making offerings! I wonder if food will work…

Food’ll work! Nice! In my other haunted house, I mostly used carvings and paintings but this’ll do to! And it’s fitting for Gunther and his culinary food ways. But also I should buy a woodworking table as well. For a variety of offerings!

Ghostie approves! We have a satisfied ghostie! Hooray!

In return, we also gain a gift! Which is good because Gunther was hungry! Which evidently has the side-effect of filling him up for quite awhile. Nice!

Anyway, it’s time to work from home again. We got four hours of cooking tv research to do and also we need to review 3 drinks. Welp, let’s start with the television watching. But then I got the alert that Gunther’s social need is low...and we have a brother to discuss..

Anyway, happy ghosties mean happy guests! ...I would say these ghosties shouldn’t be happy to see Wolfgang but my personal lore means nothing to these ghosts! Nothing!

And with this tv watching, Gunther maxed out the Cooking skill! Nicely done Gunther!

Anyway it’s finally time for Gunther to ask “What the hell did you do to this place!?” There is an obvious answer, as Lucas’s disappearance came after visiting Wolfgang...but will Gunther willingly connect the dots?!

...and how the heck do I even play that out?

...I mean, Gunther’s logic skill is pretty high. He should be able to figure it out.

I decided to let Gunther and Wolfgang just talk to each other. Gunther tried joking around with his brother but now Gunther is getting yelled at. Seems someone is super defensive over...whatever happened. Gunther yelled back and Wolfgang got the hurt sentiment. -rubs hands together gleefully- We got drama happening! I also suddenly realized that Gunther didn’t know Wolfgang’s career. So I  had him ask and find out...he’s a getaway driver in the criminal career! He does crimes! It’s time to argue about career! I often use these argument things to substitute for other things, or to simply get the negative sentiments going but this time it’s legit!

The argument was a no win one. Both were frustrated and angry. And now Wolfgang is also saddened by the loss of his friendship with his only remaining brother. Gunther? Gunther doesn’t care. But it’s good for me to note down.

Anyway, pay those bills that came in. Those 4,999 costing bills and then we’ll head off. For now it’s drink review time! Woooo! Time to get drunk! And likely not deal with ghosties just this evening.

Wait...I think I forgot to check Neighborhood Stories and left for another lot. DANG IT!

Anyway, back to the Shrieking Llama. And to order a cocktail! I picked the Dim and Gusty. Who knows what’s in it but it seems appropriate for the lot itself.

And Gunther suddenly passively became good friends with someone, which happens because people call and ask for advice quite frequently and that improves relationship gains. Which ehhhhhhhh. I don’t know Tetsuya enough! Let’s lower this friendship a bit! Just a little bit at least! After I ask about his career and about himself. Of which, he’s a conservationist and uh, he got the lifestyle of people person. Which nearly every sim I play has so meeeh. Ah well, at least I have the job as a marker. Anyway, DROP DOWN TO A FRIENDLY LEVEL WITH YOU! Which, just shouting obscenities worked. Good good.

Shrieking Llama review? Food bad. Drinks good! Excellent to know your local pub well.

Visiting the Narwhal Arms as well again and picked up a Juice on the Rocks. It however, did not stand up in terms of drinks. Bad drinks and food? Not a good combo. If you’re going to the Narwhal Arms, it better be for dancing.

Finally, we return to the Discotechque. Now to see if the Hottest Spot in Town can hold up with it’s overpriced drinks. It seems like it held up, as my good drinks buff was seemingly refreshed! Nice. So head on over to the fanciest spot in town for good food and drinks! Watch out for those prices though.

And with that, we head home and head asleep, ending this day and- ohp wait, something went bump in the night. Time to hide under the covers and calm himself down before asnoozing again.
