I actually think Carrie and Quinn meet up when Carrie gets Max to reveal the location where Max was going to hand over the duffle bag…
Oh yeah, that could also be the way Carrie finds him.
mytimeoftheyear answered your question:For someone who doesn’t want to be close to her...
I think it’s gotta be a plot device. Like how Carrie didn’t answer her phone in ep5.
Yeah, I guess there's no more to it than that.

i stg i feel like this was on the tip of my tongue and you just pulled some next-level inception shit. YES
rurikids replied to your post “I love Carrie so much it breaks my heart that people can't sympathize with her but all the dudebros on the show are treated like gods. I think it's really sweet that Quinn cares/loves Carrie so much; aside from her father & sister she's really got no one who just loves her. Saul's an ahole, Brody was real shitty towards her so I think it's sweet that we got a guy (in Quinn) who loves the gal instead of the other way around. It's nice that someone on the show finally fucking loves her, for her!”
Idk, but, mmm, but Q knows a lil bit about second carrie too. Like, he knows about her not wanting 2 be a mother, he saw how she was with brody when she was in love. He doen't know all, but he knows a little bit more than the others I think.
I don't think he knows that much. This isn't me trying to be contrarian, and it's not for Quinn's lack of trying, she just doesn't want to let him in.
Remember "because you gave it up to me?"

As long as they don't make the mysterious missing mother a spy too, like they did in Scandal and Alias. But then I wonder, if she's not part of the intelligence community, why would the writers bother introducing a new character?
I mean, it's Carrie's mother. It's not like some random one-off part. It's pretty significant. Especially if Carrie's father does die. Not understanding why a character must be part of the intelligence community to be worthy of introduction. If the past three seasons have taught us anything it's that these writers will deviate from that story to show more "domestic" storylines if need be.

They're already paralleling Carrie and Franny being abandoned by their respective mothers because said mothers couldn't cope with unresolved feelings towards the fathers. I think that's where the writers may be headed.
Gawddddd this PARALLEL is soul-crushing. I wonder if Carrie has made the connection.

Yeah, it's definitely too obvious for a show like this. Where do you think they're going with this (if they are, anyway)?
I just hope they go somewhere with it, eventually. But I really am not sure.

I’m fully C/Q, but I don’t think the show wants Carrie to be happy, hence my concern about the drama
This is interesting but I feel like the "show"--I'm assuming you mean the writers--actually does want Carrie to be happy. I think the writers love Carrie. They are able to be critical of her, but they love her (same as I do).
Yet I still think she is a tragic character and so I don't think they're necessarily related. But when I say she's a tragic character, it has very little to no consideration of her current relationship status, and I have never thought that's the point of this show (for Carrie to ~find a man).
Carrie isn't unhappy because she doesn't have a boyfriend. She's unhappy because of very warped, toxic thinking surrounding her illness and her fear of intimate--not specifically romantic--relationships.
I also come back to a line of thinking that Claire herself once endorsed which is that Carrie almost welcomes the unhappiness, because it 1) feels like some kind of sacrifice and 2) means she has nothing to lose.
strings-out replied to your post “Do you think Carrie and Quinn will ever get together??? I want them too!!!”
I hate to be negative, but if Carrie hooking up with a guy is the big event of season 4, I'll feel betrayed. Yet another romance plot would turn the show into a full-fledged soap opera, as opposed to a smart psychological/spy thriller.
Okay, so I kind of made that 8th episode comment in jest. But I feel there would be a lot of anticipation surrounding this relationship and taking it to the "next level." I mean, interest in this pairing has surpassed Tumblr. I think a few critics have expressed interest in this relationship moving past the platonic stage.
I didn't say it would be the "big event," just a big event. The same way the reveal of the ruse was a big event or the reveal of Brody in Caracas was a big event. But those weren't really the big events of the season. The big event of the season was Brody's death.
It all depends how the writers approach the story, but after ending this huge-stakes romance in season three I highly doubt they'd jump right back into another huge-stakes romance. And that's the thing with Carrie/Quinn. It's not huge-stakes the way that Carrie/Brody was. It's not this grand, delusional romance. I think the likelihood of it becoming soap opera-y is really, really low. I don't even really think Carrie/Brody was ever that soap opera-y. It was melodramatic, but not soapy IMO. I suppose it depends on your definition of the two.
I think there is room for romance in a smart, psychological espionage thriller. The two need not be mutually exclusive. I think we could get both, though if I had to choose between one or the other (romance or thriller), I'd always choose the latter on this show (though I do think it does both very well).

If it'll be a drama-filled romantic relationship, I'd rather them be friends w/ benefits
Who said anything about the relationship being filled with drama?

It's the last thing I want for Carrie another relationship she can't afford and destroy her friendly ship with Quinn
Who said anything about destroying the relationship?
