BH: I've got one independent but let's go on

KH: So Lord Tower and Mayan spend any time together like just hanging out did or did they uh Tower mentioned before that he and Mayan aren't like Rune and Brand who are always together so yeah I was just kinda wanted to know more of their dynamic?

KD: I wasn't sure myself until a moment in The Hourglass Throne where they were on a street and Mayan was suddenly walking down it he was under someone's mind control and (BH: mmhmmm) The Tower lost basically his connection with Mayan in that moment I wasn't - I thought The Tower was gonna say something sharp but instead he basically stormed over to Mayan put his hands on Mayans head and said Mine you know and he basically claimed Mayan and in that moment I realized that they really that they are the loves of each other's lives.

BH: Mmhmm yep it was a great moment.

KH: yeah.

KD: They are that is when it became clear so when I think about what the Towers future in the series I can't divorce it from what I think about Mayans future and I would like to think that they're not as close as Rune and Brand because The Tower gave up that side of his life to be who he was as The Tower (KH: right) and there's gonna come a day when he doesn't need to be The Tower anymore when he comes back to the story and who knows what's gonna happen between Lord Tower and Mayan but I realized the depth of their connection was deeper than even I expected in that one scene in The Hourglass Throne.

MyTower (Mayan and Lord Tower) could be one of the best examples of-

Childhood friends-to lovers

PINING

Suffering due to duty and/or rash decisions (ahem Lissa and Dalton)

PINING

Having to watch the one you love marry someone else

Being very close to each other all day everyday but being unable to be together

PINING

Almost actual telepathy (I will ramble about this one one day)

And Old Married Couple.

Does this post have a point? Nope. Am I desperately holding out hope for canon MyTower? Oh yes definitely.
