SHOW ME A BETTER MODERN ADAPTATION OF CARMEN THAN THIS ALBUM !!!!!!!!! whatever youre gonna say doesnt even have spoons or kazoo so dont even fucking try me. genuinely cannot overstate what a fascinating take it is and how it is so so exactly america as it approaches the 1970s . its the iconic imagery of americana with rodeo stars and rock n roll music and nuclear families. its the boiling point of conflicting political views and racial tensions and how every approach to the topics are done so clumsily. its the estranged and era specific flavor of misogyny and how it even internalizes within other women. its the beautiful gospel choirs and black musicians and how their voices are integral to defining culture. and i cant fail to mention the corny ass intro track with synths and space laser sfx. its so good. BUT ABOVE ALL TO DEPICT CARMEN AS A LONELY STRUGGLING ARTIST WHO DESPITE IT ALL STAYS TRUE TO HERSELF............. CAN ANYONE HEAR MEEEE

aha yeah. keeping it short, took time off tumblr for mental health reasons, then rejoined for other mental health reasons/ because humans need social interaction to survive (WILD). late 2023 i got back into homestuck and made a side where im active at which you can find here. i have a reblog/ aes side here, and generally i keep my blogs pg 13, but that one’s 18+... because im an adult.

anyway, i will NOT be deleting anything off this blog or deactivating. its always so annoying having to deal with deactivated blogs when they’re a treasure trove for fan content ya know?? yeah anyway love and peace.
