1. If you could travel to anywhere on the planet, where would you go and why?
Hmm. The world is a rather large place... There's lots of exotic places and things I'd love to see, but I think I'd like to go to some remote tropical rainforest in Asia, I don't mind where, as long as it's warm and absolutely pouring with rain.
2. Which fictional character do you think is most like you?
Oh god. Um. I don't know. There's lots who I'd like to think I'm like but.... I think that deep (deep) down I could be a bit like Jo Harvelle, butt kickingly brave, but in reality I think I'm mainly a bit of a mix between the wimpy Dustfinger and the awkward Molly Hooper... Maybe with a bit of John Watson mixed in... not sure why...
3. If you could meet anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?
I'd like to meet Ching Shih, the female pirate who apparently was the most successful pirate ever. Only on friendly terms, of course. She sounds tough.
4. What is something you've done that you are proud of?
I have climbed the tallest mountain in South-east Asia, freezing cold, wet and in pitch black darkness, so beat that bitches! But seriously, our group was the only group in which every member made it to the top, and that is something I am bloody proud of, so suck it.
5. When you were younger, what did you want to be?
At some point a hairdresser, later on a palaeontologist (I loved dinosaurs, and I still haven't ruled that one out). But if you must know, I originally wanted to grow my hair long and dye it black so I could be Pocahontas. Yeah.
6. What's the most embarrassing song you like?
Urm... I can't think of anything off the top of my head... probably all the Disney movie songs, from the Lion King and everything. I honestly don't know...
7. If you could live within the pages of a book, which book would you choose?
Oh deary deary me, where to start. Hm. Aaah yes yes yes, either the Tortall universe, Harry Potter universe or the Discworld. Fuck yeah. Magics and shiz.
8. What's a song you really identify with?
I can't decide between two, so "Carry on Wayward Son" by Kansas and "Thank You" by Mkto. "Carry on" because at the moment I'm tired and don't really see the point of anything, but I think it's important to keep going. And "Thank You" because I remember being lonely and feeling out of place when I was younger (still do sometimes), and it just reminds me that everything that happens only serves to build your strength and resilience.
9. What is your favourite movie?
Thank god you didn't ask favourite TV show, although this question is hard enough already. I'd have to go with either Avengers (because of all the sexy bastards), or Moulin Rouge (because it makes me cry and who doesn't love a good musical?) or Love Actually (it's awesome)!
10. What is the scariest thing you've ever experienced?
Ok, well it was actually a false alarm, because I was 11 and I'm a paranoid little dick, but I went out for a run and I thought a car was following me down the street. I freaked out and hid in my neighbour's garden while it passed, and then sprinted straight back home where I proceeded to hyperventilate. Even though it wasn't real, I was terrified, ok!
11. What is your favourite quote?
Urm well I could probably think of lots more if I had to, but this bit from the poem Seal Lullaby by Rudyard Kipling: "O! Hush thee my baby, the night is behind us/And black are the waters that sparkled so green." I just love the imagery in it.
