I’m worried about miningeon. He’s a bit rotund today and has been sleeping for over one hour. I’ve tried to wake him up, but he shoos me away whenever I try to. He doesn’t want to leave the heating pad, but I feel bad if I turn it off :(
I think I should feed him a little less, though I’m not sure, so I want your insight. I don’t want him to be unhealthy ;A;
You might want to watch out if he is on the heating pad too much he might start to shed.
You will notice his denticles becomming a bit dull before they flake off and he begins leaving a fine pink dust everywhere. Its a common sign of overheating but is overall harmless :).
Syringeon triggers this response commonly using hot showers , scrubbing dead denticles off with a sturdy bootbrush in the shower , his mini MIGHT start to dryshed due to the heatpad usage.
Overheating symptoms include:
decreased agility and movement
temporary cognitive impairment (appears sluggish and tired, Speech may be slurred or confused. I assure you he is perfectly content it looks a lot worse than it is!)
Rapid dying, shedding and regrowing of denticles (It regenerates his skin. He triggers the overheating response on purpose for exactly that reason. He grows sluggish as this process takes a lot of energy)
Also you may not wanna overfeed him. He may grow used to it. :)
