Mid bite into my Chinese food and it hit me: Matt as a dad/stepdad but he's still daredevil, unbeknownst to you. There's this one night where his duties ran on long, claiming it was just office/case work again over the phone earlier, and it's late so he's gonna assume you and the kid are sleep. He crawls through the window and pulls off his mask when he tilts his head and looks to his right where there's a faint heartbeat. It's your kid who had woken up to get a late night snack, mid bite and obviously frozen with shock.
"You're..."
All he does is hold his finger up to his lips and whispers, "this stays between us. Can you do that?"
They nod, he nods back and goes to the bathroom to clean up. Now they're wondering how the hell their very blind father just nodded back at them
Saw someone on Twitter say they think Shane might not be that much of an asshole it's just that we see him interacting with people (like Kyle) that he doesn't get along with so we never really see his actual personality...and that's such a good point 😭
