Plot
With rapidly dwindling resources, a surging population, and a need habitable land, The Galactic Federation legalized the use of prisoner labor for mining and terraforming expeditions. Initially, the Federation agreed to only send out prisoners it deemed unredeemable (psychopaths and sociopaths), but with the rise in fascism across the galaxy, the Federation began using the colonies as a place to hide away and punish political dissidents and even prisoners of lesser crimes. Corruption has turned what was once a military operation to secure desperately needed resources into a cheap and easy way to avoid labor and human rights regulations.
Newton-5 is a plotless all male gay sci-fi roleplay set in the year 2125 on a fictionalmoon, orbiting a fictional planet, in a fictional solar system.

Newton
Newton is a gas giant located in Huygens solar system. It is the 4th planet from the sun. It takes roughly 532 days for Newton to orbit its sun.
Newton-5
Newton-5 (commonly referred to as N5) is the fifth and largest moon of the gas giant Newton. It is 25% smaller than Earth, and the only object in the Huygens solar system with a dense atmosphere. It is seismically active and rich in rare metals, helium, hydrogen, and sulfur. For the most part, Newton-5 is a barren red planet, there are some areas covered in thick sheets of ice but the planet has yet to develop advanced life forms with the exception of bacteria found around volcanically active areas of the moon.
The average daytime temperature during the summer on Newton-5 is 23°F (-5°C), with the average nighttime temperature being -31°F (-35°C). During the winters the daytime temperatures drop to -13°F (-25°C), with the average nighttime temperatures being -58°F (-50°C).
