Heat haze was a bit of a challenge today, but here’s one of America West’s original Boeing 757-200s in the boneyard at Phoenix Goodyear. Prior to the US Air merger in 2005, America West had fifteen Boeing 757-200s, two of them, N901AW and N902AW, were originally Republic 757s. This particular aircraft in my photo is N910AW- delivered 29 November 1989 to America West in their original blue pinstripe livery and repainted in the final America West livery in 1998. She got her US Airways colors in 2006 and was retrofitted with blended winglets in 2008. After the US Airways merger with American Airlines, she only flew three more years before making her final passenger services on 29 September 2016 DFW-PHX before being ferried for the short hop to Phoenix Goodyear where she still sits today sans engines. #avgeek #aviation #aircraft #planeporn #KGYR #GYR #Phoenix #PhoenixGoodyear #Arizona #airport #planespotting #instaplane #instagramaviation #Boeing #757 #N910AW #USAirways #AmericaWestAirlines #splendid_transport #instaaviation #aviationlovers #aviationphotography #flight #AvGeeksAero #AvgeekSchoolofKnowledge #AvGeekNation (at Phoenix Goodyear Airport) https://www.instagram.com/sentinelchicken/p/BxEV6iQFvMq/?igshid=1xkqwxrueole4
