A Tale of Two Rulers: Royal Baby Chapter One
A/N: This story is basically about Zelda's pregnancy and also includes some adorable family and baby bump love moments. Also, some of the scenes are written differently from that of the comic despite following the main story. This is going to be an ongoing project since the comic Zelda has yet to give birth. Excuse the spoiler alert, but still.
Disclaimer: A Tale of Two Rulers is @figmentforms original work. I'm simply re-writing this as fanfiction, nothing else.

It has been well over two weeks since they made up from their heated argument. It wasn't the first, but hopefully it should be their last.
One day, Zelda was in her room, sitting next to the fireplace as she reads a book. After a long day of work, she needed the time to relax. She even wondered what Ganondorf and Rinku were up to. Zelda was very glad how they bonded so easily compared to when they first met. Now they are spending as much time together more often than usual. That gave her a reason why she made the right choice in marrying him after all. Of course, aside from maintaining peace in Hyrule.
She then heard a knock on the door. "Come in," she said, wondering who that could be. One of Ganondorf's minions walked in with a flyer, "Congratulations on your new baby. It'll be a beautiful and healthy little addition to the Royal Family." He gave her the flyer, which is a birth announcement.
Zelda looked at him, confused, before she took the flyer. Her face turned red as she got angry. How could this be possible? She is not even pregnant yet. Zelda got up and stormed off to find Ganondorf.
Ganondorf was in the foyer on a sofa by the window, knitting a blanket. He then saw Zelda come barging in the room furious, with a look of a child when he's caught red-handed breaking the rules. "Ganondorf, what the hell is this?!" Zelda asked him, showing the birth announcement to him. She clearly was not pleased with that. "You can't be spreading stuff around like this, especially without consulting me first. That's extremely rude, don't you think? I'm not even pregnant, for God's sake!"
"Well, actually, Zelda, you are. I can already tell somehow." Ganondorf got up from the sofa and played with her ear a bit. "I know it might just be hard for you or anyone to tell, but I can."
Zelda blushed when he said that. "I don't believe this. There's no way in hell I could be pregnant so soon. I don't even have any symptoms." she said, unsure of whether that's really true or not.
"All right, fine. You want me to prove it? We'll go see the doctor at once," Ganondorf said, trying not to argue his point any further. "Good idea. The sooner we get to the bottom of this, the better without any argument." Zelda said to him as they went to see the doctor.
"My point precisely." Ganondorf agreed. Soon after, the royal Zora doctor check and confirmed that Zelda is indeed pregnant. "Congratulations, Your Majesties!" He grinned big as he handed them a pregnancy guide book.
Ganondorf said with a not-so surprised look on his face, "See? I told you so." Zelda was completely surprised by all this. "How did you even know I was pregnant, anyway? I really don't understand this at all," she said confused.
He answered as they walked back to their bedroom, "Well, you do know that I came from a predominantly female population, right?" "Yes, I do know that," Zelda said to him. "So, in a sense, I have been around women for so long, thus telling if any of them were pregnant, even before they showed early symptoms. Also, I have been through all that in some of my past lives. In one, I was a caretaker." Then, he remembered a memory from the Era of the Hero of Time of himself with a pregnant Nabooru; "A father in another..."
Yet another memory was recalled of when Ganondorf was reincarnated as a woman carrying a baby girl. "And in one where I became a mother myself."
"Oh, wow. That's very amazing." Zelda said to him, impressed. She didn't expect any of that. But then in a way, she knows now that she'll have to trust Ganondorf a bit more in case she has another baby with him in the future. "Still, though, let's hope everything goes well in this pregnancy," she added.
"Of course, let's. And by the way, there is another reason that I believe must be addressed." Ganondorf said as soon as they made it to the bedroom. He had to be blunt about Zelda's drinking habits at a time like this. "I've always been aware of how you sometimes slip some liquor in your afternoon tea."
Zelda stared at him, not saying a word to contradict him. Ganondorf does have a very good point. She needs to stop drinking alcohol while she's pregnant. He looks at her, seeing that Zelda is serious that she'll stop with the alcohol for the sake of their unborn child. "I know that you'd never do anything to endanger your health, let alone the baby's, but I'm glad you're going to stop it."
Zelda smiled and hugged him. "I'm so happy to have you helping me." "Of course. It's my job as your husband." Ganondorf kissed her forehead as he embraced her. "So, how was your day with Rinku? I bet you two had fun."
"Yes, we did. She and I went fishing at the lake after her training." Ganondorf remembered the time Rinku pushed him into the lake about two days before the royal wedding. Back then, she didn't even like him at first, thinking that's he's evil, just the hero she was reincarnated from.
"That's nice. At least she didn't push you into the lake this time." Zelda said, giggling as she recalled that day. He chuckled, "No. At least she knew better already."
Zelda kissed his cheek before they started to get ready for bed. As soon as they both got into bed, Ganondorf held Zelda close to him and said, "Goodnight" "Goodnight." she said before she fell asleep in his embrace. He fell asleep after her.
