“my problem with the nabieva downgrade is that if you look at the other F skills, it’s *obviously* harder than them. it should have stayed a G, and the judges can do their fucking jobs and properly deduct for body form and flexed feet mmkay?”

Okay but can we talk about this nabieva form improvement
Julia Forestier is working on the Nabieva !
French junior Julia Forestier (2003) is working on a Nabieva ! A lot of missed attempts but she eventually catches it at the end !
Julia is one of the top junior in France, she has great charisma and elegance. She still lacks a bit of difficulty but she is a pleasure to watch. Check out her last competition at Combs-La-Ville after coming back from a femur stress fracture that kept her out of EYOF : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09kDc6SXt0U
1. “ Nabieva critiquing people doing her skill with the wrong form is hilarious and honestly? As she should ! “
2. “ It’s been a whole 5 years and I still cannot bring myself to enjoy Derwael’s bars. She hardly points her toes and her handstands are just not it, not to mention that her Nabieva is horrendous. “
“I know Nina’s Nabieva form isn’t perfect but I’m just so impressed she can do it at all given her height! Very cool seeing a tall gymnast from a country with a smaller programme performing at her level. “
“ I love the Nabieva release, but what bothers me about it is that it makes it almost impossible to NOT have flexed feet when flying over the high bar. Obviously a flexed foot is to prevent the gymnast from smacking the bar and having a really bad accident, but have we seen ANY gymnast execute that release with pointed toes, glued together? “
