Weapon of Choice: Yeah being recognized is the bad thing in this situation. Not the White Man's school. For those who are unaware, they were government or Church funded schools that abused native children to remove their traditions, language and culture to replace them with "proper" culture, religion and language. Sexual abuse was rampant (shocker as the Church was Catholic), one school in Canada was recently discovered to have hundreds of bodies of children buried without even the family's knowledge. Also they could just kidnap kids to put them in here, and it was a part of why some refused to move onto reservations, because the government would use the "benefits" they provided to the people living there as an excuse to "exercise their authority" over them, despite part of why reservations were created was for them to maintain their sovereignty, but c'mon we know better about the USA and Canada (and most nations in regards to Native populations).
