born and raised in san myshuno (apparently, she doesn't remember that), lauryn was the second to last of 5 siblings. with the other siblings a set of triplets and the youngest a colicky baby, things in the tiny apartment quickly became too much for her parents to handle.

her earliest memories are instead at her aunt's, in henford-on-bagley. she's actually fairly certain that the woman wasn't actually related to her, but her parents somehow managed to convince her to take little lauryn off their hands and so she'd just always been aunt penny.

as lauryn got older, time with her biological family became less and less. really, she didn't even know what she was missing. and when she petitioned her parents to release their rights and allow penny to adopt her officially, they didn't put up a fight.

and so, that's where she's always been. at the small cottage on the hill, wearing the clothes the kids in the village outgrew before her and making friends with chickens. now, with penny long gone, lauryn's ready for something more exciting.

and some clothes bought fresh off the rack for once.
