Kid Flash: I'm gonna take that as a "go on". Um you remember Phantom, right?

Batman: The unknown ghost-snake creature you keep sneaking into the Watchtower to stargaze? Yes I remember.

Kid Flash: Right, so can he use Mount Justice's sauna?

Batman: Why?

Kid Flash: Okay, I'm only telling you because he said I could but, Phantom has a second form thats a lot less ghost than how you've seen him, and he recently shed, but some of it is stuck, like really bad. His nest doesn't have enough humidity as he needs, and I tried to help pull it off but I just ended up hurting him and- *takes a deep breath* please?

Batman: He will finally sit down with me, and I can expand my file on him.

Kid Flash: Fine but no doctors, or scientists, including therapists, and absolutely no hair, skin, scale, or saliva samples.

Batman: Fine, that is agreeable.

Kid Flash: Thanks. I was worried.

Batman, softening slightly: Let me know when he wants to talk.

So I had an idea and it won’t leave me alone so I’m going to post about it if anyone wants to continue this prompt please do

so starting this off with the fact of ghost hunger exist, they feed off of emotions and ectoplasm. This is for regular ghosts though for halfas though they require emotions, ectoplasm, and living meat/ fresh blood because of this all halfas have the air of an apex predator and all halfas are the children of life and death and they all become morally gray because of it also halfas are capable of Shapeshifting

Finally having enough of the GIW Danny and a de aged Dan(10) and elly(5) decide to lay low in Gotham for a while, while plotting how to take down the GIW and run across someone that they instinctually know is their older brother they’re very sickly older brother who calls himself killer croc they decided to stay with him and teach him how to live as a halfa and he teaches them how to live in Gotham they all try to avoid the bats while wreaking havoc

Gotham City and the bats are in alarm as killer croc has found his shapeshifter siblings and they are all causing havoc as they help out rogues and disappearing talons ( taking them to the ghost zone ) and making sure to cause extra destruction in government buildings ( because petty) and even stealing things from museums and private collections ( ghost artifacts ) and the bats are in confusion as they try to catch them ( all the Shapeshifting forms that the bats have seen are dinos, gator person, and Merfolk, I think that Danny Dan and elly would stick to more scaly forms )

Kid Flash: *spread out over Phantom's coils, watching him work*

Flash: Hey kiddos- Kid Flash are making Phantom do your homework?

Kid Flash: What? No! I copy my homework pages and let Phantom have the empty copies!

Green Arrow: Why? I thought kids hated homework.

Phantom: I missss ssschool. The normalcy of it, the knowledge. After I became a ghossst I ssstruggled a lot with homework and attending classssesss, but I ssstill went. But now, I'm a Naga, and I can't go to ssschool anymore. Wal-Kid Flash has been helping me catch up, even if I can't go to ssschool anymore, I atleassst won't be completely ssstupid.

Kid Flash: You're not stupid, I barely had to teach you anything. If anything, once you caught up, you started tutoring me!

Green Arrow and Flash: *share a sad, thoughtful, and determined look*

*1.5 Months Later*

Green Arrow: Hey is Phantom around?

Flash: We got a gift!

Superboy: *points to the living room*

Phantom: *stretched out over the couch, holding his hands out for Miss Martian to paint while Kid Flash is leaning against him, and Robin and Aqualad are sitting on the floor next to them as they all chat*

Flash: Hey Phantom!

Phantom: *looks up, tongue flickering curiously*

Green Arrow: Hey kid, remember that conversation from a while ago?

Flash: About you going to school?

Phantom: Oh, yessss.

Green Arrow: We signed you up for online school.

Flash: *grins widely as he hands Phantom a laptop*

Phantom, whispering: What?

Flash: Yeah! It took a while because we had to make you an identity slightly based on your birth one, and that, my friend isn't easy. Even for us.

Green Arrow: You still have to pick your classes, but everything is online, you type your answers into an online document, or you can print out the worksheets and scan them before sending them to your teacher.

Flash: Your cave-

Phantom, softly: Nessst.

Flash: Right sorry, Nest. But your Nest has internet right?

Phantom: Yesss.

Green Arrow: Then there you go! There are mandatory video classes, but its not hard to hide your tail with a computer laptop.

Phantom: But the essss sssoundsss I make-

Flash: In your medical file, the hissing was cited as a vocal stim.

Phantom: *eyes misty as he stares at them in awe.* Thank you. *hugs the laptop to his chest while his tail moves to wrap around the two heros*

Green Arrow, startled: Oh!

Flash, surprised: Woah!

Phantom: *squeezes the two heros in a hug while trying not to cry*

Kid Flash: *grinning and patting his friend on his back in support*

Wally: No way! The ground is freezing, and you're burnt out from being in your Phantom form so often. *grunts as he tries to lift Danny's tail* Let me help!

Danny: I appreciate it, really, but itsss not posssssible. I can, well not walk but like ssslither? myssself. I don't mind a bit of a cold floor.

Wally: *deflating* I wish super speed came with super strength so I could help you more.

Danny: You built a giant heat lamp for me, and risssked getting in ssseriousss trouble jussst ssso I could sssee the ssstarsss again by sssneaking me into the WatchTower! You help me a ton! *hugs him and coils around him* Besssidesss, you're like my persssonal ssspace heater too!

Wally: *snorts* I guess I do help more than I thought.
