Nagia and Dodie are my two ocs!  ( character design is actually difficult, i had to change their outfits alot...) They bicker alot but are still bestfriends (or maybe more COUGH)  and yeah that’s all I have right now.

Trope Ask Game: Sex Pollen (or, if you need an alternate, Cyberpunk AU's)

I think a C verging on D for sex pollen--it's not something I've ever intentionally looked for, but if it's an author I trust or a portion of a good fic I can go for it. that said I do have a fondness for all trek-originated fic tropes this one included (esp. because it's a pretty good episode of TOS)

for Cyberpunk AUs, A, 100%. They tend to be the fun kind of AU with a lot of plot and a lot of fun, and where the authors find a lot of places to sneak in AU versions of canon element, which is one of my fav parts of any AU. (not a fic, but my new go-to example of this is the sphinx riddle in Ulysses Dies at Dawn. like literally as I started listening I was like "why is a disease about rapidly aging called "the sphinx"? is it because sphinx cats are wrinkly? and then it hits you with that four legs in the morning/two legs in the day/three legs in the evening/as body and mind decay chorus and its like fuck thats so clever. TBH with a lot of AUs that are like "[story] but setting as changed from fantasy to sci-fi or vice versa" I'm really just chasing that fuck that's so clever moment.

Trope Ask Game: Canadian Shack Fic/Huddling For Warmth

I honestly don't know if I've ever read a true Canadian Shack fic since many of my fandoms are universes that don't have Canada, but generalized "trapped together" can be a lot of fun! probably a B, as is huddling for warmth, which I like much the same way as "only one bed" in that there has to be a forced emotional intimacy component involved in the physical proximity

#499 - Nagia linteola? EDIT: Donuca spectabilis

EDIT: It’s not Nagia - It’s a Donuca species found over much of Australia, where the larvae eat a common wattle.

I'm pretty confident this is Nagia linteola. The problem with that ID is that I can't find any mention of the species being found anywhere NEAR Perth. It's known from South Africa, the Congo, Yemen, the Comoros Islands and Mauritius, and ALA has sightings from coastal areas across Australia's top end and down the Queensland coastline, but none over here.

Although I suppose there's no reason why it wouldn't be here - it's known to breed on Crepe Myrtle (a popular ornamental tree from China that thrives in Perth), various Native Almonds and Native Damsons in the genus Terminalia, and possibly Morton Bay Ash (a eucalypt). I'm just reluctant to be the first to report it from here.

My porch, Wellard, but I've seen the same species at the Baldivis Spud Shed as well.
