Masaru x Nagisa headcanons. Also, you mentioned Masaru would be an alpha and Nagisa an omega in omegaverse, could you go a bit into that here? I just love kid ships! Tis purer than anything else!

The reason I headcanon Masaru to be an alpha is based on his athletic abilities and his need to always be the leader, which are things usually associated with alphas. This is also strengthened with the fact that his father seems to be the type who believes that a man has to be strong and can not feel fear, as Masaru always begs in panic to not be hit just because he is showing and even feeling fear. So it is to assume that in an omegaverse AU his father would also raise him like an typical alpha and thus let him do all the sports he wants and raised him into this believe that he has to be the leader of everything

With Nagisa I was considering either going with a beta or an omega, as beta’s are usually seen as the intelligent ones. However his very mature and caring side reminded me a bit more of an omega. With the fact that he is so obsessed with proofing himself to be worth of things and being just as intelligent as his parents want him to be, I decided to go with an omega, as it could bring a bit more pressure on him when he heard his parents talk about starting their experiment over and getting rid of Nagisa, since an omega turns out to just not be good enough according to them

Nagisa was able to realise that he likes Masaru more than his other friends, way before Masaru did

Masaru however took very long to realise that his friendship with Nagisa turned into a small, innocent crush

(Non-Omegaverse) He also turned quite angry at Nagisa for a bit, because they were both guys and he was raised that being gay was bad and Masaru had no idea how to handle it

Both also took quite a while to really act upon anything, at least longer than other pre-teens would take, due to their traumas. It took about a year or two until any of them really did anything

(Omegaverse) Due to Masaru’s very traditional upbringing and Nagisa’s very modern one, Masaru got a bit whiny and defensive when Nagisa suddenly gave him a small courting gift

(Omegaverse) Their courting gifts are usually very small things like chocolates and maybe flowers they picked, which almost always is given to the other by not looking and just pushing it into the other’s hands

Both are extremely shy and blush very heavily at simply holding hands. Their “first kiss” was also just a peck on a cheek, which left both blushing for hours
