Canon Confusion (because I apparently never did this?)

So... It's never brought up what sin I committed. The fox followed me for a week, as I was trying to figure out how to make up for a single I didn't know I committed.

I never ended up finding out and I dragged my girlfriend down with me the very next week. I still don't know what sin I committed or how I could've made up for it.
