i do agree with this scene being an allegory for sa, however seeing the way the boys have been villainized for the scene before is so stupid. because they're children. none of the boys are even technically teenagers, as far as we know; and even if they are it's barely.
at the age they're at, that would be something caused by a failure of a system, or personal experience. i bring to light that one post that theorized roger's action of shoving his spear up the sow's ass being from a personal experience.
i understand the point of the book was supposed to be that people are inherently evil, but i feel the need to bring up the way that children often times exhibit behaviors that they've learned from either personal experience or someone in their life.
they are fucked up, but because of society.
