Prompt: For you, I’d steal the stars + As long as I have you, I have a reason to live.
Taglist: @emily-a13
Before you, life had been hopeless.
A dark, desolate existence, void of any true meaning...he'd seen the sun and the stars but had no light; he feasted upon blood but was never truly full; he breathed and his heart beat but he had not lived until that night...
The night he met you.
You were like him in the simplest of ways, a hybrid, wandering the earth in hopes of finding where you belonged...so of course, the stars led you to him. Beyond your species, you and Nahuel had so little in common.
He was despondent, you were delighted; he was resented his life, you embraced it; everything about Nahuel was darkness but you, you were all starlight, breaking through the dark and filling his strange, sad world with light...so was it any wonder that he fell in love with you?
And by some miracle, you loved him too.
Perhaps the universe had felt it time that the young man was given a miracle of his own, having been denied just that for so, so long.
Miracles, he discovered, could be people with a laugh like music and eyes so deep and so bright, he could get lost in them forever and ever...and wouldn't you know it, forever was exactly what he had to offer.
"Do you know what your reason is?"
You asked the question so suddenly, walking through the jungle together. His finger were intertwined in yours, helping you over a mossy fallen log, the scent of rainfall and flowers thick in the air.
"My reason?" Nahuel asked, unsure of what you meant.
"It's something my father told me, before he sent me off into the world," you explained. "That if I was going to live forever, I needed to find my reason, something to live for...and that's how I found you."
"As long as I have you, I have a reason to live," Nahuel said simply.
He heard your half-dad heart quicken, looking away quickly with shyness...and he could not let you be, having discovered that, with you, he was a terrible tease. Quickly, he took hold of you and pulled you into the flowers with him, his name spilling from your lips amongst laughter.
"For you," Nahuel whispered, lips moving over your skin. "I'd steal the stars! And the sun and the moon and anything, everything you asked me for."
"Hmm...I only want a kiss. And flowers and you!"
He gave you all three, a crown of flower in your hair and a kiss upon your lips and Nahuel in your arms, forever and ever.
A/N: back at it again with a Nahuel love story! Just a little imagine about my favorite hybrid falling in love and living a happily ever after...and one of my favorite songs to go along with him. This boy needs so much more love.
Pairing: Nahuel x Hybrid! Reader (female pronouns used).
Song: Aphrodite (The Ridleys).
Warnings: a scent of lime here, no actual shenanigans but it does get a little hot.
Here I am, just another boy
Singing songs that
Others have sung.
He had love you from the moment he found you.
It had been Renesemee, his dearest friend and a kindred spirit, that had brought you along one night, having asked Huilen if she could bring a friend when she came to visit the small, strange family. And though Nahuel had expected nothing to come of it, with just one glance, he found everything.
He found love.
Like the both of them, you were a hybrid, the offspring of a vampire and a mortal.
Your tale was a sad one: your mother had fallen for a vampire, though he had loved her too. He had wished to turn her and stay with her forever, living out an eternity of love together. But she fell pregnant before he could do do and the birth of her hybrid child had killed her, leaving your father destroyed. He hated you, you told them, and loved you all at once...and he could not care for you the way a father ought to care for a child. So he had left you in the care of old friends and vanished to wander the world alone.
What became of him, no one knew.
But the vampires who had raised you, Luzia and Alfred, had done so with great care and had loved you as their own.
You’d been raised in the wild too, hidden from mortal eyes in a dreary forest.
It had been some kind of strange paradise, growing up in a little cottage (Alfred had built it for his bride centuries ago) filled with books and music and love. And you’d remained there in secrecy until Renesemee had stumbled upon your family and you became friends, joining her to meet Nahuel in the jungles. It was curiosity that had brought you here, looking at him in wonder from the shadows of the trees. Nahuel stood glittering in the sunlight and stared back at you, reaching out for your hand.
And you took it, glittering too, as he lead you into the light.
Try and find the words
To employ to adore
The goddess of love.
And since that perfect night, the vampire had been utterly lost within you.
When Renesemee had returned home, she did so alone. You stayed with him a little longer, declaring that you liked the jungle and wanted to see more of it.
But it was not the jungle you had been exploring.
With you, Nahuel had found himself feeling and wanting things beyond what he had ever known, falling deeper and deeper in love with you. Hand in hand, you wandered through the jungle. Nahuel showed you the waterfalls that he loved, the best spots for star gazing, and all of the jungles secrets that he alone knew. He loved his home and he wanted you to love it too.
So he told you the names of the flowers and creatures that wandered in the trees by sunlight, painting constellations in the sky for you by night.
But the stars were not what he was looking at...not anymore.
Nahuel could not keep his eyes off of you, constantly gazing at you with adoration.
And these monstrous hands now wanted more then murder, hungering for your touch. He was shy, having never been so close to a woman before...his aunt and Nessie didn’t count, they were family. But you, you were something else!
Oh, how he wanted you!
It felt pathetic the way he hungered for the feeling of your skin on his. A brush of your fingers, a curl rushing against his bare shoulder...it was enough to send him spiraling into fantasies, heart hammering in his chest and blood rushing to his cheeks. He wanted you, all of you, and took every touch like a piece of heaven. With you, he understood what Eve must of felt when she first bit into that apple and discovered the sweetest sin...one bit and he wanted more! Your hands in his, fingers intertwined...his hand would linger longer and longer on your skin and his heart ached when you were gone.
It was obvious, wasn’t it?
He was in love with you, losing himself deeper into the emotion...and he didn’t know if he would ever find his way back.
Or if you loved him…
Oh, oh, you’ve got me in a daze,
Yeah, no, it’s not another phase.
You gave me one look and
Now I can’t get my mind off of you.
Could you?
Could you ever love him?
It was a question that he asked over and over again, agonizing over the endless answers and the possibilities that came with them. You had to leave, for some time, and when you did you took his heart with you.
But you promised.
You promised him that you would return and Nahuel waited for that day in agony, feeling as though he were dying without you.
Of course he couldn’t be, his aunt assured him, but that didn’t help.
Wind and frost could not harm him, claws and knives could not touch him and yet...yet you had wounded him and healed him all at once with your magic. He was a monster and yet he was in pain and he was in love. What a strange thing to be! Laying alone beneath the stars, Nahuel watched the silver fires burn faraway and wondered if you would keep your promise to return to him...and if you loved him too.
He closed his eyes, pressing his fingers to his lips and imagining what it would be like to touch you again, to kiss you.
What would your lips taste like?
What would it be like to hold you?
Lost in dreams, Nahuel felt the world fade away. And far, far away, another monster entered the wild jungle, running through the trees.
And it’s all because..
You came again, this time alone.
Nahuel had sensed you before he saw you, his body burning at your very presence, and he came at once.
Rushing through the jungle, the world seemed to come to a stop when he found you.
The thick canopy of trees had broken into a clearing, darkness breaking into sweet, silver light. Here, the trees created a protective wall, like warriors guarding a precious treasure from those who might wish to steal it. The moon was full, light overflowing and spilling onto the earth below, flower dappled grass glowing…
And you!
You were dressed in white, face raised to the starry sky though your eyes were closed. As Nahuel crept closer, a million thoughts filled his mind.
What if you rejected him?
The very thought of it was enough to pain him, knowing that such a thing would break his heart entirely...from you, he might never recover. It was nearly enough to send him running home, content to get drunk off of dreams of you and would-be’s for all of time.
But, another voice whispered to him, encouraging the vampire further...because what if you didn’t reject him?
What if you loved him?
And the thought of your lips on his was sweet enough to compel him to run to you, pulling you into his arms without fear.
You fit perfectly!
Hands pressed to his bare chest, you looked up at Nahuel with bright eyes as he shivered with emotion. He could not hold back anymore, pressing his lips to yours. The world seemed to stop, noise of the forest fading away into silence. He forgot all else, he felt nothing else except for your lips on his. You were honey, he thought, and starlight and sweetness, like everything he had ever wanted.
And he kissed you all night long.
I see the galaxies when I look
In your eyes and I can’t speak,
No, I can’t speak at all.
“You’re so beautiful...”
Cold lips caressed your skin, your dark eyes gazing up at him. Never in his eternity had Nahuel considered that one creature could be so blindingly beautiful, so perfect! Kneeling before your naked form, he felt lost…
And he never wanted to be found.
You had not left the jungle again, declaring Nahuel to be your home now.
His arms, you declared, were your shelter and his heart your home. And you would never, ever leave him again. The thought alone was enough to delight the vampire! You had chosen him, you wanted him, you loved him...and he loved you. Laughter spilled through the twilight as you ran through the forest, Nahuel following close behind. Chasing you through the trees, you came to a clearing full of flowers, dragging your hands across the blood red and blue blooms.
Turning slowly, you smiled at him.
Stars were just beginning to burn in the sky, silver fire lighting the darkness, and the moon slipped out from behind the wispy violet clouds, moonlight spilling over your skin like liquid light.
You glowed silver, reaching up to tug on the straps of the white dress. It feel away and you wore nothing else, baring your body to him. At once he fell to his knees in worship, kissing your body over and over again.
Whispering your name like a benediction, the world fell into darkness and Nahuel fell into you.
I swear to Zeus, you’re Aphrodite
In disguise, don’t think
That you could hide it from me.
“Nahuel!”
You said his name and made it magic, a spell cast over him in an instance.
Taking your hands in his, Nahuel lay you upon the thick grass. Kissing you, he mumbled prayers against your skin and sighed when your hands tangled in his long hair.
“I need you,” he murmured.
Kissing a line across your body, Nahuel had started at your ankles and found himself between your thighs, caressing the plush skin with his lips. Moving across your belly and between the valley of your breasts. Coming to your collarbone, his lips kissed an icy line from left to right, rising to bite the sweet skin of your neck.
“I adore you!”
Beneath the crook of your ear, across your jaw, Nahuel kissed all of you.
Your nose, your closed eyelids, your cheeks and temple, every bit of you! His lips hovered over yours in an almost kiss, Nahuel smiling.
“I love you,” he moaned.
“And I love you.”
Kissing you again, Nahuel felt as though his life had become perfect. Before you, he had felt like a beast, a lonely one. He’s wanted and hungered for years, left starving every night. But you filled him and fed him something far sweeter then blood. It was the sweetness of your lips and your love, it was your hands rolling across his bare back and the whisper of your adoration.
He was complete with you.
No, I never thought I’d get
This close to someone
So divine.
Moonlight whispered away, the sun threatening to spill forth from the sky.
He didn’t want it to.
No, no, Nahuel never wanted this night to end! Looking at you, he felt more determined then ever that every moment of his eternity should be spent just like this.
“Stay,” he begged, “Please stay with me.”
“Always.”
You alone knew of his fears, afraid of a lonely and loveless eternity. But you kissed those fear far, far away. Nahuel laid back in the grass, a crown of flowers woven into his dark hair. Hovering over him, your hips straddled his, hands roaming across his chest as you smiled down at him. Your eyes were stars, he thought, and your lips like roses. You kissed him and he felt breathless, a million promises melting into your kiss.
Never would you leave him.
Forever you would love him.
You were his, his, his alone!
And Nahuel was yours, rolling in the dewy grass with you. Flower petals scattered, his crown falling apart, and you laughed as he attacked your neck with sweet lips and sharp teeth.
“Nahuel!”
Everything, you were everything he’d ever wanted. Rising up, his hands dug into the earth on either side of you and your hands roamed over his back. Along bare skin, he could feel your fingers tracing secret messages. Beautiful, you wrote, wonderful, perfect, love, love, love, I love you! He buried his face in your hair, taking in the scent of you as he drifted away and hoped that those sweet nothings stained his skin forever.
Let the world know that you loved this beautiful monster, let them all bask in the sweet sunrise of his delight!
The sun...it was coming soon.
And his aunt would be worried, he had been gone for so long. Stealing one more kiss from your lips, Nahuel rose up and took you with him. He dressed you with careful hands and smoothed your hair, flowers petals and butterflies still tangled within the wild curls.
“Come...let’s go home.”
Oh, I can’t breathe, no,
I can’t breathe at all. Aphrodite, could you,
Could you please be mine?
Hand in hand, the immortal lover walked through the jungle.
The once lonely creature was lonely no longer, having found a purpose in life, and it was the grandest purpose of all:
A/N: I just want him to have a happy ending, you know? He seems like such a sweetie and, while I’m almost certain he’ll be in Renesemee and Jacob’s series, I don’t know if I trust Meyers enough to do it right.
Sometimes he wondered how someone could be so perfect.
All of his life, Nahuel had felt so strange within his own skin...like something that should have never been, the worst kind of monster. He’d been born of violence and heartbreak and his mother’s life traded for his own. It had been hard not to hate himself for it.
You’d changed that somehow.
Unlike him, your creation had been one of love, a love that existed even now. Though your mother had nearly been killed by you, she’d been saved in the end and your family had been happy ever since, a picture of everything he could never be but would always want. Your family had stumbled upon his own simply by accident, your mother and father leading a few others that had joined them over the years others...and you. Nahuel had been utterly entranced at the sight of you, glittering in the moonlight. You’d wandered away as your coven spoke with his aunt, softly explaining the story of your birth and everything that followed, and he’d slipped away to see you, the tale of beauty and the beast fading away.
Walking along the edge of a glittering lake, the moon shone like a pearl in the crystal waters, stars shimmering alongside it. You had stooped low to pluck a lotus from the water, light rippling at the touch of it and a reflection appearing beside your own.
How strange...to him, immortality had been nothing more then a burden to bear but you wore it so beautifully, the most lovely creature he’d ever seen.
Everything had changed after that.
Nahuel was never too far from you, something that you did not seem to mind. In truth, Nahuel had been so lonely and you seemed to somehow fill the hollowness in his heart, coming together as though it was simply meant to be.
And yet you were so different.
Like night and day, you were stardust come to life and he...he still didn’t know what he was supposed to be. Nahuel was still figuring that out. So lost in the light and laughter that was you, Nahuel found himself forgetting about everything else, with you nearly every moment and waiting patiently when you were away. It was not until his aunt said anything that he realized it, Huilen commenting how odd it was for the coven to have stayed so long. It was odd for nomads to stay in one place, he considered, having noticed that your family liked to wander. And while you always followed, you still returned, the time spent apart becoming shorter and shorter.
Once more he found you by the lake, fingers trailing lazily through the water as you lay in the grass. Hybrids did not slumber often but still needed it and it was clear that you were tired, smiling softly as Nahuel lay beside you.
For a moment, you lay together in the starry silence, Nahuel secretly stealing glances of you. But the questions still lingered in his mind and, unable to stand the quiet any longer, he spoke.
“Why have your family stayed so long?”
“We all have our reasons,” you replied.
“I am not interested in their reasons,” Nahuel stated. “Only yours.”
Turning in the grass to meet his gaze, you looked at him with starry eyes and wildflowers tangled in your hair, violet and cerulean blooms bright in the curls.
“Do you really not know?”
He knew. Of course he knew.
But Nahuel had been alone for so, so long and had been so unable to love himself that it seemed almost impossible for anyone else to ever love him at all. And yet here you were, reaching out to cup his cheek. Hungry for it, Nahuel leaned into your touch, eyes closed and long lashes trembling as he silently begged for more.
“You’re like sunlight!” you sighed. “Sweet and lovely...and I feel like I shine a little more more when with you, I’m...I’m more of myself.”
He pressed a kiss to your wrist, soft and cold.
“Do you really not see how lovely you are?”
Another kiss and more followed, Nahuel’s lips lingering softly as he moved, careful and slow. Hands pressed into the tall, sweet grass and wildflowers on either side of you, his body hovering over your own. At the sight of him, you reached up to caress his face, smiling in delight.
“You’re perfect.”
And for a moment, he felt as though he could be such a thing, almost seeing himself through your adoring gaze. Perhaps he had been born of death but love had brought him to life, Nahuel leaning low over your lips.
“I love you,” he whispered.
Lips brushed against your with every word of it, the confession breaking the curse that had been placed over him.
“I love you.”
He was loved!
It had been all he’d ever wanted and everything he’d hoped it would be. Hands tangled in his dark hair as you pulled him into a kiss, a soft sound muffled against your lips. He was so shy at first, more gentle then he needed to be and fearful that he might hurt you. But passion soon overtook him, Nahuel pressing himself closer and kissing you deeply, breaking away only for a moment.
“Nahuel...”
Perfection. You were perfection. And he was kissing you once more, falling so deeply into you that he would never find his way again.
And he didn’t care.
If this was how he would spend his eternity, Nahuel could think of no happier end.
Warnings: mention of death (and Joham is a trigger warning on his own...I hate him).
A/N: Nahuel is such a lovely man and deserves so, so much better.
Once upon a time, there was a woman.
She’d been innocent soul, tucked away in a tiny village far, far away from the dangers of the world. It was there, in that little corner of the earth, tucked into a dark forest, that she grew from a shy child to a beautiful woman.
And it was there that she fell in love.
Her love appeared in the night, a phantom arising from the darkest forest. He was beautiful, the loveliest thing she’d ever seen, with lips like winter and eyes like roses, bloody roses, unlike anything she’d ever known. At first, she had thought him to be an angel and one day she would learn the terrible truth. But it did not matter what he was, not to Beauty. She had loved him at once and he had fallen for her within the first sight, the mere mortal stealing away the immortal creature’s suffering soul.
They loved with a love that was more then love, the Beauty and her Beast, and if this were a sweet story, it would have ended with a happily ever after.
But not all lovers have their happy ending.
He had wanted to turn her into a beast like him, so that they might live and love forever and ever. But before she could die and live once more, something happened. Beauty became ill, growing weaker and weaker by the day. They had thought that she was dying at first, some unknown illness infecting her, and he feared her too weak to be changed. The truth was far more cruel then either of them ever realized. She was dying, yes, but in her death was life...Beauty was with child. And it would be that child, born of the greatest love, that would kill her int the end. Their love story ended in pain, Beauty dying and the Beast dying with her.
And the child?
You had grown into a creature as lovely as your mother and as cold as your father, a thorny rose. He could not stand you, the Beast hating his own child, but he could not kill you either.
Instead he fled and the child was left alone in a merciless world. How you managed to survive for so long on your own was something of a miracle, feasting on smaller animals until you could move onto larger prey on your own. You became accustomed to animal blood, preferring does to anything else. Hidden in the forest of endless darkness, you had grown quickly, half-feral until Khepri discovered you. She was a monster too, ancient and alone. Centuries ago her village had been slaughtered and her family, her only child, killed. Khepri had longed for a child all of that time, discovering her own happiness in the tiny creature.
She named you Y/N, becoming the only mother you’d ever truly known.
Gently, she turned you from feral thing into who you truly were, knowing happiness and comfort for the first time. Together you traveled the world, mother ad child wandering the wild. Khepri was an intelligent and cultured woman, showing you that there was beauty in all things, and you had loved it all.
But despite being with your mother, you often felt truly alone.
There were others like Khepri, you had met them before on your journey's together, and noticed how they all seemed to be both enamored and uncomfortable with you. But there were none like you, no matter where you looked for them. It was strange and so were you, unable to find anything that felt familiar in the eyes of others. In time Khepri found her mate, Hiari, her love joining your quiet coven as you wandered together. As happy as you were for your mother, you could not help but mourn for yourself in someway, fearing that you might never know the same joy.
You had been wrong.
~
Once upon a time, there was a beast.
He’d been born of betrayal, his mother seduced by a cruel creature and left to die, killed by her own child. But she had loved him still, having only brief moments with her child before dying at his hand. Death haunted him still, even all of these years later, holding onto the little memories that he could call his own.
The beast had his mother’s smile, slightly crooked and bright, a constellation of happiness upon his face, and her love for flowers. He had her low laugh and romantic heart, desperate for a love he feared he may never know.
And he had his name, Nahuel, her last gift to him,
There in the jungle, hidden within the deepest dark, he had grown from a small, snarling thing and into a man, raised by his aunt. She’d come to love the little beast, hatred passing into quiet adoration, and he loved her the same, Huilen being the only mother he’d ever been able to truly know. But as the centuries passed by slowly, the hunger grew and grew in his heart.
All of his life, he had thought himself beastly, a creature that only existed to kill, to destroy beautiful things.
But he wished to be something more.
To be something softer, sweeter, to know the touch and love of another like him. Loneliness grew in his chest, hollow and hungry, like a cavern begging to be filled. And Nahuel had nothing to give, left to starve on his own.
Until you appeared to him.
They’d gone away, Khepri and Hiari, to have a little time with one another, and you had been left alone to wander a little, They’d be able to find you easily, your mother being something of a tracker, so you did not worry as your footsteps took you deeper and deeper into the jungles. You quite liked it here, finding it peaceful in the darkness. There was no one to bother you as you wandered about, cold hands brushing over the path of flowers. Beneath the thick canopy of tangle trees, stars blinked here and there, slivers of moonlight dancing in the dark. It was the light that brought you to him, seeing something dazzle far, far away.
You were not alone, not anymore.
Something in the jungle crept close, blood red flowers rustling as the brush was pushed apart slowly. He came from the darkness and you knew him at once, an aching blooming within your heart. Though you did not understand it then, you were drawn to the man as he arose from the forest, coming close without fear or hesitation.
Reaching out, you took his hand in your own, marveling at the touch of him.
Moonlight dazzled across his skin, dark hair brushed down his back like a shadow. He was terribly lovely, you thought, with plush lips and dark eyes surrounded by a thicket of lashes. But he was cold to the touch, all roses and thorns, and suddenly you made some sense of him.
“You’re like me,” you murmured. “Aren’t you?”
“I am,” he replied, fingers intertwining with your own. He could not seem to let go of you, feeling so strange as you took him in. “I am Nahuel.”
Everything changed after that. You ceased to wander, having found exactly what you’d wanted for so long, and stayed there in the jungle alongside him. Nahuel was all too welcoming, showing you all of the secret things he had cherished alone for so long. The moon pool hidden in the cliffs and the waterfalls, the little clearing full of flowers, and the view from the mountaintop. The jungle hid many secrets and now you shared them, Nahuel giving you beautiful things. But as much as you loved it, it was him your eyes were drawn to, watching the beautiful beast with such wonder.
He was perfect, your Nahuel, like a fire burning in the night so bright and lovely.
You stayed so long that you did not even feel the passing of time, too delighted with him to realize that your mother might come looking for you.
And she did, Khepri calling your name as she hurried through the jungle. Like all mothers, she imagined the terrible things that could have become of you, worrying far too much as Hiari chased after her in the dark. All worries seemed to fade as she found you again, playing in the waterfall beneath the starry sky.
“Y/N!”
It was only then that she saw Nahuel, the man rising from the water. Water cascaded down dark skin, his long hair tangled in his eyes. They knew at once, watching the way you looked at him as though he were made of starlight, the way he stepped in front of you easily, wishing only to protect you from the strangers that had stumbled here. Had they been wild things, he would have fought to the death for you. But you eased his worry with sweet laughter, a hand in his as you pulled him forward.
“These are my mothers,” you told him. “My Khepri and her Hiari.”
For some time, your families stayed together, his aunt and your mothers coming to know one another slowly. Huilen was slow to trust and quick to strike but you did not fear her, feeling safe with Nahuel by your side.
It was prefect, for that little time.
Nahuel had been born of violence, heart torn apart the moment he had come to be born, and now...now he was complete. He was finally full, having discovered his other half within you. It was glorious, this new existence, Nahuel drowning himself in your glory, heart alive only for you. But the dream died when he overheard your mothers speaking to one another, discussing where they would go next...and he feared for the first time, wondering why you would leave him now.
Did you want to leave him? Did you want to go?
He would never force you to stay, never, but he could not bear the idea of losing you now, quickly fleeing into the forest. He found you there, laying in the blood red flowers and looking into the night sky, a dream in your eyes as you rose to meet him.
“You’re leaving,” he accused. “You are leaving, aren’t you?”
“I never said that,” you replied.
“If your mothers wish to leave, you will follow. You love them too much to say no.”
“I do them them,” you said softly, rising to meet his gaze. “I do. But perhaps there is something that I love so much more. Perhaps I am left with no other choice to say no, even if they will me to go. Everything has changed, Nahuel. I have changed because of you.”
Walking into the moonlight, you glittered before him, a shining hand reaching out to caress his face.
“The first time I laid eyes upon you, I saw such sorrow, hunger,” you whispered. “And I knew it well, knowing the beast that looked back at me in the mirror. All I wanted was to chase it all away and see your smile, to bring you happiness, passion...al the things that you deserve.”
Nahuel took a slow, shuddering breath, his hand wrapping around your own and bringing it to meet his kiss.
“You know that, don’t you? You deserve it all and more, Nahuel, all of the beauty of this world.”
“You,” he breathed. “you are my happiness, my passion, everything. You are my everything, Y/N, please, I...I cannot lose you.”
“I will not leave you,” you whispered into him. “I cannot leave you as much as I cannot leave behind my bones, my soul. You are mine and I am yours.”
“Mine,” he gasped.
“Yours.”
He kissed you slowly, having never done such a thing before. But he fell into quickly, guided by your lips and hands as you pulled him deeper, deeper into you. Everything felt perfect just like this, Nahuel discovering his purpose within your lips:
To exist for love that was more then love, for you.
A/N: Just a little bit about meeting Nahuel’s “other” family. I think that Nahuel would want to keep you as his secret for a while but eventually, they’re going to find out...and Joham (that prick) is going to be very interested.
Pairing: Nahuel x Hybrid! Reader (female pronouns used).
It was his own fault.
Having finally found his darling mate (his mate! His love! He still could not believe his goof fortune!), Nahuel had been drunk on happiness and love since the night you’d agreed to be his.
Huilen, of course, was utterly delighted for her nephew, having always wanted him to find his own joy in this eternal life. She had taken some time to get used to your presence in their lives and home, being a very guarded woman, but soon she soon loved you as a member of her family. The ruka they called home, tucked far within the wild jungle, was now full of little pieces of you: the cloak that you wore in the daylight hanging upon the wall; your books tucked neatly together on a shelf Nahuel had carved for you; a little bed tucked in the corner that you both shared, your sweet scent still lingering behind.
It felt as though the dream he had always dreamed was coming together in a sweet, slow path towards happiness...but there was one other that Nahuel wanted to tell.
“You’ll adore her, Jennifer,” he had written her some months ago, “almost as much as I do. I have often felt that you and Y/N would make the greatest of friends and if you could love her as a sister, that would be everything to me.”
He had been right of course.
Sweet, smiling Jennifer had joined the coven in a “neutral” location (Huilen would not allow any of them to know where her home was and Nahuel couldn’t blame her, respecting the decision as he always had), a little town tucked on the edge of the jungle, small enough for some privacy but large enough to be relatively ignored by its inhabitants, only receiving a few strange looks here and there. The two of you had become fast friends, talking and giggling all night and day, and Nahuel could not deny the joy that such a sight brought him.
It seemed as though everything in his life had finally came together, one blissful moment spilling effortlessly into the next…
So of course he had to ruin it.
Joham, obviously, had not been invited to the get together but like a serpent slithering through the tall grass, he had appeared.
They all sensed him long before they saw him, his presence announced on the cool winds. But it was the sight of him that had Huilen snarling with rage (the feeling was shared), Nahuel stepping protectively in front of you both. He stood tall, looking his father coldly in the eyes as he spoke in a calm, furious voice.
“You need to leave.”
“My boy!” Joham complained in a patronizing voice. “Can’t your father meet his new daughter? I’ve waited so long for this day...I just wish my children had told me about such a joyous occasion.”
Red eyes flickered briefly towards Jennifer, who looked away in discomfort. It was at Nahuel’s request that Joham and his remaining sisters had not been told of this meeting, much less invited, something that Nahuel informed him of. Strange. Joham seemed pleased that he’d stood up for his little sister, smiling a little as his eyes left Jennifer and locked onto you.
“I see my son has chosen a true beauty for himself.”
Joham smiled with a bit of charm. But beneath the handsome face and sweet smile, you saw the monster within.
There was an ugliness beneath the handsome mask, a wolf in sheep’s clothing!
At once you thought of the types of men you had been warmed of, stories of lost little girls and hungry wolves creeping close as they wandered through the forest...Jonah moved with elegant ease, seeming so relaxed but willing to attack at any second. The wolf flashed a hungry smile, teething shining as you shivered with disgust.
“He has an appreciation for the sweeter things in life...like father, like son.” Joham quipped.
Your laughter surprised them all, Nahuel in particular. It was not the sweet song he knew so well, this laugh was almost alien to him, sounding bitter and cold. He bristled, dark eyes glancing between you and his father as he awaited for what came next.
“I just find it so funny...the pig comparing himself to the prince!”
Jennifer gasped, Huilen grinned, and Joham stepped back, clearly quite surprised. From behind Nahuel, you held yourself with power and fury.
“I despise you, Joham,” you snapped. “You are everything that disgusts me! A predator that finds lonely young girls and feeds them empty promises and honeyed lies, swearing to give them love and then just leaving them to die. And for what? For power? For your new race? Ha!”
Joham’s eyes narrowed and at that Nahuel growled, ready to strike at the slightest of provocations.
“Miserable little monster!” you continued. “You hurt two people that I love so very much and a third that I would have liked to have loved, not to mention countless others...the only good things you’ve done for this world are Nahuel and Jennifer.”
Silence.
It went on for what felt like too long, Nahuel and Huilen waiting to see how Joham would react to such a display.
Would you receive a verbal lashing of your own? Would he attack?
But the elder vampire only laughed, throwing his head back in delight.
“Nahuel!” He laughed. “She’s a spitfire!”
Relaxing, Joham walked away with a smile. Jennifer followed right away, looking over her shoulder to smile softly as she mouthed a silent apology. It would be, Nahuel assumed, sometime before she would be allowed to visit.
“Welcome to the family, Y/N,” Joham called.
With his family finally gone, Nahuel let himself relax. His aunt was snarling with rage, ranting about the audacity of that man and all of the violent things she’d like to do to him, before storming off into the jungle. He didn’t follow. Huilen needed time to quell her anger and he would give her just that, knowing that she would return as she always had. Nahuel watched her go before tuning to you, worry painted so clear on his beautiful face as he reached out to you.
“I’m sorry about that...I didn’t expect him to show up,” Nahuel whispered.
“I didn’t expect to tell him off,” you replied. “Are you okay?”
No.
Okay was nowhere close to how Nahuel felt right now. He was angry, he was worried, he was sad, and he was...so, so in love with you.
Unable to answer the question at all, you took the silence as his reply and made the most of it, wrapping your arms around him. In time, Huilen would reappear and the three of you will begin the journey home once more. But for now, Nahuel stood in the darkness and held you close, allowing the wave of emotions to roll over him.
He wasn’t okay but he would be...as long as he was with you.
A/N: I know, I just know, that Meyers is probably only bringing my boy back to be in whatever she’ll write about Renesemee...and he probably won’t get a good ending at all...but, as always, I will be ignoring her and writing my own shit.
So here’s some Nahuel fluff!
Pairing: Nahuel x Reader.
“If you look the right way, you can see that the whole world is a garden.”
The idea of vampirism had never been a beautiful thing to him.
For his entire existence, Nahuel had viewed his affliction as just that: a sickness, a disease, a curse. It had been a vampire that had seduced his mother and left her broken hearted, giving her honeyed lies and pain; it had been a hybrid vampire that had killed that perfect woman.
No, he’d never been happy with it all.
But somehow you wore it so perfectly. The endless curse hung upon you like lace on a bride, perfectly beautiful in some haunting sort of way.
How strange!
But you were a strange thing, weren’t you? Yes, you certainly were. It had been the first thought in his mind when he stumbled across you, deep in the jungles of South America. Rarely was there another soul so deep in the trees. Society was far from this place, with the nearest village being a weeks journey away. It was here that Nahuel had been raised in secret, hidden far away from the world, and it was here that you had wandered, the lullaby of the earth singing to you so sweetly.
He’d never seen anything like you!
Wherever you walked, flowers bloomed from your fallen footsteps, far more brilliant in color then any others he’s ever seen.
Bleeding red and tearful blue bellflowers danced along with the melody you sang, white lilies bursting in such numbers that it reminded the vampire of freshly fallen snow, and glory-of-the-suns blossomed in fiery golds!
Butterflies flocked around you, lilac-banded longtails and golden colias’, fluttering wildly and playing with your hair.
Vines tumbled down from the trees so suddenly, as though they might want to reach out and touch you, and Nahuel felt himself wishing to do the very same. In one moment, the feeling had utterly taken over him and he stepped out from the shadows...and you looked at him. Dark eyes locked with your glittering gold and just like that...he was lost forever!
He was yours!
Fully a vampire, Nahuel had learned that you’d been turned by accident, an interrupted attack by a vampire. After being bitten, you’d hidden away from the world, much like himself. But although the unknown vampire may have left you forever changed but he also left you with a wonderful gift:
Flowers followed you wherever you went (even in the bleakest of winters), trees grew at your call until forests had grown over night, butterflies and birds flitted about in a never ending song.
It was beautiful! It was magic!
And with it, you had Nahuel in the palm of your hand, utterly and hopelessly enchanted by the creature that was you. The devotion was obviously shared, as you found the stranger to be the sweetest of monsters. He was more devoted then any bloom, more wonderous then anything butterfly. Though it was nature’s song you’d come for, it was Nahuel that made you stay.
So many nights weren’t spent wondering side by side through the jungle, dancing together through the thicket of trees. Secrets were shared beneath the canopy of emerald green, lovers hiding in the shadows and stealing gentle kisses.
Cold fingers traced patterns across his bare chest, the fluttering touch causing the hybrid to sigh happily. His own hands ran slowly down your arms until he came to touch your fingers. Kissing them with cold lips, Nahuel’s dark eyes fluttered from beneath thick lashes, the sight of you stealing a smile from him. Rising up slowly (he always moved slow and careful with you, so scared of hurting you), he settled in beside you, leaning against the truck of rough, gnarled tree. Resting against his chest, you looked up at your love so happily.
“Sing for me,” he begged, taking your hand in his.
“Hmm...”
Fingers ran across his smooth, cold skin, writing unseen words all over his arms. But he felt them, grinning at the sweet things scribbled all over.
I love you, perfect, darling, Nahuel!
He laughed at the feeling, and finding the sound of it so charming, you gave into his request at once. Humming softly, the sweet tune made the earth buzz with power and excitement as it grew into a song, your voice echoing thrugh the trees.
“We’re a thousand miles from comfort, we have traveled land and sea,
But as long as you are with me, there’s no place I’d rather be.
I would wait forever, exalted in the scene.
As long as I am with you, my heart continues to beat.”
The sound of your voice brought the whole world to life, your magic seeping into the earth! As the song swelled, flowers burst forth in a force of vibrant color and a sweet scent erupted into the cool night air. Sweet lilies kissed his cold skin as ivy tangled in his long hair, little red flowers drifting away so slowly.
“With every step we take, Kyoto to the Bay,
Strolling so casually.
We’re different and the same, gave you another name,
Switch up the batteries.”
Butterflies came in a cloud of swirling colors, burning orange and shinning gold and bright, brilliant midnight. Reaching out, Nahuel allowed one to land gently on icy fingers, smiling as the delicate creature.
“If you gave me a chance, I would take it.
It’s a shot in the dark but I’ll make it.”
“Know with all of your heart, you can’t shame me.
When I am with you, there’s no place I’d rather be!”
The night ended quickly, as did your song.
Sunlight would come soon, melting through the canopy of trees, but these last moments of nighttime belonged to you. Moving deeper into the jungle, Nahuel held your hand and kept you close as the two of you returned home.
Somewhere, hidden in the trees, was a little ruka It was plain but comfortable, filled with such light.
Humming softly, little flowers bloomed in your path.
If one were to follow it, they’d find a monster and his love, laughing and dancing and hiding far, far away from the rest of the world. Home. It was his very own corner of the earth, a home he’d built for his family, a circular house with a domed roof. smothered in flowers and filled with music. But better then that, there was only love there.
