This is a colourization I did of Egyptian actress Naima Akef. She was born to a family of circus performers in 1929. When she was 14 the circus disbanded and her parents divorced. After that she started dancing in night clubs and became famous in Cairo for her shows. While working at a night club she was introduced to a film director and he wanted her to star in musicals. She stared in 13 films before her retirement. Naima Akef died of cancer in 1966, she was only 36 years old.
