could you do it when you move out, and maybe just mail it so that she can’t really say no?

I think you should buy her a small gift for xmas and then give her the money later cause it would be weird to do so in front of the fam

if you’re worried about her not accepting it, leave it in an envelope in her handbag etc, then call her after you’ve left and tell her to go look in there. i’ve done that before ;)
~
thanks you guys!! all four of you are on the same page, so it’s probably best if i follow you guys’ leads lol. i’ll wait until i move out to do it :)
on one hand, i’m worried about her not accepting it due to the amount it’s going to be (and i’m not exactly rolling in it), but on the other hand, she does joke about starting to collect rent whenever i talk about buying things, butttt on the third alien hand she says she never wants me to leave sooooo. mixed signals LOL.
@nainokibullet i can’t reply on my post own since its impossible thank u @staff good call on that one lmao but erm i like pretty much anything ive recently watched hannibal and then AHS, sense 8 looks quite good actually
jaybirdsasscheeks said: No definitely. When you’re a fan, you just simply enjoy the topic. But when you’re in a fandom, it’s like you dedicate yourself to the community that forms around the topic.
exactly, yeah, like being in the fandom is participating in the community and being a fan in general is more casual.

i should say ~currently in. i was in past fandoms before.

You don’t want to be part of the spn fandom tbh we are assholes I feel you though
LOL yeah, i’m not claiming that i wanna be a part of the spn fandom! i’ve heard/read horror stories.

well to me being part of a fandom is like editing stuff, posting news, opinions, etc on it aka being active about it ….being just a fan i guess is like being lowkey about it?
hahaha lowkey, like just general reblogging yeah? i feel you tho.

yeah that makes perfect sense! you never have to be involved in fanon and fandom to be a fan of a series. ‘fan’ is the individual and you can choose to not be involved in the community and just watch! :)
good! i feel like there might be some people who don’t see a difference maybe? like i’ve never really thought about it til now either lol.
Hey!!! I'm taking my mcats in a couple of weeks and I was wondering if A has any last minutes tips/advice on studying? Thanks :)
Hi there! So sorry for the late response, particularly if this is coming after you’ve taken your exam! Now, this blog is for Merthur fics and fandom things, but I definitely don’t mind answering this ask here under the cut. If you want to keep chatting, send us a message and I’ll contact you through my personal blog :)

Now. MCAT. This version of the test is a bit of a doozy, but I personally felt it was easier than the previous version. Everything is made to relate back to medicine – like, you’re not going to get purely a circuit question, they’ll pose it like a membrane. Fluids will probably be in the context of circulation. You can also get biochem stuff in the physical sciences section, particularly if it’s more Orgo-based. Know how to do quick math, and definitely know how to estimate well. It’ll save you SO MUCH time. I’d say gen chem came up much more on my test than physics, so be sure to be solid on acid/bases, titration, the periodic table properties, and so forth.
My biggest regret is that I kind of ignored the verbal section in favor of the other sections, which made my score there drop, while I’d always done well on that section in the past. So I definitely advise keeping practicing reading and doing those questions for verbal right up until a few days before the test. It makes a huge difference. Also, don’t let the MCAT be the first thing you read that day. Read a book, an article, a fanfic (heh), anything. It helps a lot. Keep fresh, and keep practicing until you’ve got the speed and the accuracy. For me, that’s the hardest part of this section.
My best advice for the biological sciences section is to just really know the body systems and how things work on a macromolecular level (fats, proteins, etc) as well as at the level where those molecules are built up. It’s pretty much a great big biochem test. Know your amino acids (charge, size of R groups, polar/nonpolar, acidic/basic, etc). Know action potentials. Know the kidney, man. It’s big.
I was a Psych major in college, so I had the benefit of lots of extra knowledge for the Psych/Soc section. For that, I’d say learn those terms and basic concepts really well. Know how conditioning works, the differences between schools of thought, id/ego/superego, etc. Those are fairly easy points and form a solid foundation for reasoning through the rest of the material. Know really well social theories and the different theories in sociology and who’s associated with what.
Otherwise… take it easy the few days leading up to the exam. Relax, go have some food that makes you feel good and happy, see your friends – do what you need to do not to stress too much. But a little stress will help you get through and keep your energy high. Definitely take the breaks they give you to walk around and go to the bathroom and hydrate. It’s a ridiculously long test.
Ultimately, you’ve studied long and hard for this test. You’ve got to trust that you’ve learned the material and that you’re capable of doing this – which you absolutely are! Trust yourself, trust the work you’ve put in, and do the best you can. Go in there knowing you’ve done everything possible to make the most of your test day and the time you had to prepare for it, and you’ll be just fine. Nay, you’ll kill this test!
