Dear Nairyn,

You, young man, have done an excellent job getting to where you've gotten!  You have many hardships ahead though, so don't relax just yet.  I'm sure that you wouldn't have even if I had said that you could, though.  I'd say that I'm sorry for putting you through such a horrible childhood, but both you and I know that if not for that, then you wouldn't be the person you are today.  I suppose that I should tell you to lighten up, but you probably know what you're doing.  As long as you put your trust into the right people and live a free life!

Dear Ernst,

Buck up, sweetie!  You may feel like a fish out of water when you're with Jotunheimr, but I assure that you're in the right place.  You'll grow stronger, more mature, and maybe you'll even gain a work ethic!  Joking aside, I'm sorry about Sonja and Ellie, and what you have to go through to get them back.  I know that you're stuck between a rock and a hard place, but I know that you can come out of this mess smelling like roses...or at least like lavender.  So stay strong, and remember why you stayed with your team.

27.) Pick two songs that describe your character at two different points of their life, and explain why you chose them. 

Ahh sorry for getting this one out here REALLY late, it was giving me a lot of trouble xD;  Even now I'm just....forget it it's been too long.  I ain't finding second songs for my boys :c

One song that I really REALLY like to associate with Nairyn is Embers by Owl City.  I feel like the first few stanzas could be describing his life in the slums, and the chorus about how he'll do what he can to make sure that Jotunheimr succeeds.

So, it's my headcanon that the first time Ernst tried picking up women, he was actually half-dragged into a brothel or a bar by some of his friends.  The intent, of course, was to get laid.  I say tried as in there was a half-hearted attempt.  Ernst was not all that keen on the location because it made him feel sleazy and just...uncomfortable, but went along anyway.  Because It's Better If You Do by Panic! At the Disco kind of sums this up well.  He didn't get laid in the end, he was too embarrassed 8')

29.) How does your character smell? Do they wear perfume or cologne? 

WITH THEIR NOSES :V

For Nairyn, it depends on when you catch him.  If it's right after or during training, then he smells strongly of sweat.  If it's after mealtime, then he'll smell a lot like whatever he ate. But normally, I think that he would smell like his natural body odor+soap, neither of which make a strong scent.  I'm assuming that he doesn't REEK >u>

Ernst usually wears cologne c:  It's a nice, somewhat expensive cologne that is a mixture of a faint sea breeze, vanilla, and a hint of spices.  When trying to seduce women for information he wears a cologne that smells like vanilla and chocolate (though mostly chocolate).

28.) If your character’s life was a genre, what would it be? 

Sorry gimme some time for 27.  It's hard and I can't think of anything D8

Knocking out fantasy, because that is what RO is, I think that Nairyn's would be a serious drama, blending with a bit of adventure (mostly in the days where he traveled around rune-midgard) and comedy (when he joins Jotunheimr).  It's not that he becomes funny, it's just that dumb things happen to him that are entertaining to others 8')

Ernst's life, on the other hand, would be some sort of musical romantic comedy, which slowly loses it's romantic aspect when he joins Jotunheimr, instead gaining some drama.  Then when his sisters get kidnapped, it becomes straight-up drama.  When he saves his sisters, I think that it'll regain its comedy aspects again xD

26.) Second day of favorites! Favorite comfort food, favorite vice, favorite outfit, favorite hot drink, favorite time of year, and favorite holiday. 

Nairyn's favorite outfit is his Ranger uniform.  To him, it a status symbol of all his hard work, and having had finally achieved his dream of becoming a ranger...and getting a better life.

His favorite time of the year would be spring.  Summer's too hot, winter's too cold, but spring and fall are juuust right.  What makes him choose spring over fall, though, is just the symbolism of the season.  Spring signifies new beginnings, and goodness knows that he's been looking for those for a good portion of his life.

Finally, his favorite holiday is Thanksgiving...and not just because he gets to feast!  Thanksgiving prompts him to reminisce about all the good things that has happened to him, and this actually puts him in a very mellow mood.  On Thanksgiving, he's more...how to put it...tame?  He's less likely to scowl and snap at people, because he's so deep in thought, and the large amount of food doesn't hurt ;D  In fact, if you'd like to ask him a favor, you should do it after he's done reminiscing and before he slips into a food coma xD

Ernst is a different story altogether.  His favorite comfort food is spaghetti with clams!  His mother cooked a lot of seafood, and out of all the dishes she made, spaghetti with clams was his favorite uvu

Ernst's vice is hot ladies~ ;D  In fact, if brothels are a thing in RO, then Ernst would probably visit them occasionally.  He wouldn't have sex with any of the women there, he's classier than that, but the feeling of having a woman on each arm is just very appealing.  Of course, he wouldn't dare be caught in one of those establishments >3>;;  However, even if brothels DON'T exist in RO, then that doesn't change the fact that he likes to be surrounded by women

He doesn't exactly have a favorite outfit, but he does like to wear clothes that are similar to his minstrel outfit.  Something semi-formal but comfortable, allowing him to perform for others.  So collared shirts, vests/jackets, nice pants and shoes will pretty much do the trick for him.  He's not too picky (just a little).

His favorite hot drink is tea!  Don't ask me which one, though, I don't know anything about tea.  Ernst just likes it because it helps keep him up at night, when he's trying to write his music~  Alcohol is also good at that time, though....

Ernst's favorite time of the year is summer!  So long as he's not melting hot and drowning in sweat, he likes summer c:   He likes having fun, or even just the anticipation of having fun!  Swimming, hanging out with friends, hot babes...it's just a very appealing season to him ;D

Lastly, Ernst's favorite holiday is Christmas!  Presents, parties, fun fun fun!  No one's really as hyped up about any of the other holidays, it seems, so when everyone gets pumped up for Christmas, it kinda gets Ernst in the mood too.  And, as I've said before, parties!  Ernst really does enjoy himself a good one 8D

25.) Describe your character’s hands. Are they small, long, calloused, smooth, stubby?

Ahh, I think I've done a bit of this question before...oops!  Well, as I've said before, both boys have calloused hands to varying degrees, but this time I'll elaborate on that ouo

Nairyn's hands are quite muscular, and the veins on his hands and wrist are pretty prominent.  I think he'd be the type to bite his fingernails, just because what is a nail clipper, though he'd probably be trying to stop that.  His palms are calloused as well, due to doing a lot of physical activity (crafting arrows, helping out with whatever chores Jheimz needs, working out in general, and the occasional parkour feat).  There is also calloused skin on the inside of  the knuckles of his right pointer, middle, and ring fingers, though said skin is also peeling.  This is due to him pulling on a bowstring so often.  Boy should've gotten a finger tab already but he's too damn stingy 8I

Ernst has slender hands and his fingernails on his left hand are always trimmed, since pressing down on a fingerboard with long nails would make unpleasant clicking noises.  The tips of his left hand are calloused, due to pressing down on the strings.  The pads of his fingers on his right hand are toughened but not calloused, since he alternates between using a pick and playing acoustic, depending on the song.  Also due to playing acoustic, the nails on his right hand are just a little on the long side.  His left hand is actually a little longer than his right, since he reaches for those notes and HAS been since childhood.

24.) What might your character’s ideal romantic partner be?

Ernst wants a lady who can understand him, likes his music, and can always be his muse.  He wants her to make him feel like he wants to work, like he's not just forcing himself to get off his butt and do whatever it is she's asking him to do.  It would be great if she could sing, too!  He also wants her to be just as or a little bit more exciting than he is.  A boring life is no fun at all~

Nairyn would like Token a woman who can take care of herself, so that he doesn't have to worry about her.  To put it more eloquently, he wants it so that they can stand on the same ground, and know that they have each others' backs.  He wants them to be able to trust each other fully.  He also wants to feel needed, though.  I suppose that, in short, he wants someone who he can rely on, as well as receive emotional support from.
