Eric Hallström (Nov. 22, 1891 - 1984) was a Swedish artist. He was associated with the Naïvist movement in the 1910s and 20s, but his art developed into a more Expressionist form of realism, as shown in the portrait of a young sports fan. Hallström ws a member of the group Färg och Form and is represented in all major Swedish museums.

Arne Haugen Sørensen is 87 today!
An autodidact Danish painter who has done mostly church art and other commissions such as one for Copenhagen Airport, Haugen Sørensen prefers vibrant colors, with marked use of light over flat planes of representation.
He seems to combine landscapes with a Danish vibe with inspiration from the Spanish light he sees while working in Spain. His human figures are often somewhat grotesque, usually depicted as having huge hands...
As of 2017 Haugen Sørensen has his own museum in Videbæk, Denmark.

18/6.2024 - CreaGive went out to Perry & Kristina's house to make short work of repainting Minnesota, the artwork on the property. The artwork was done by Marinus Jenstinus Rasmussen over a 20+ year period. He called it Minnesota because he had immigrated to Minnesota for a time and he fought in WWI for the US and his US Army pension paid for the property, so he thought it should be a little piece of America in Denmark.
