It was probably an honest mistake, but #3202 looked pretty different than #3303 to Alan; Building 3, third floor, third apartment, not Building 3, second floor, second apartment. Plus, the last time he checked, his name was spelled "Alan" not "Nala" -- not that all his mail was labeled Alan, mostly "Cassim" since that was his actual first name after all. Who would typo so badly that his name was spelt backwards? Good thing the letter was the only thing in his mailbox that day.
Before going up to his floor from his trip to the community mailbox, he stopped at the second floor and stood before door #3202, the metal numbers labeling the place seemed to peer down at him, questioning his presence. Alan lifted a fist to the door and paused for a moment before rapping his knuckles on the painted wood firmly.
