my thoughts on the namedrop whineblogging:
back in high school, there’d be cliques who wanted to start shit to entertain their friends, but they didn’t want to be the one to fire the first shot, because that’s something MEAN GIRLS do.the cliques wanted to be seen as NICE GIRLS.
so what they’d do is, they’d gather close to the target and commence to talking shit in a loud enough whisper that the target would be sure to “overhear” it. if it didn’t work, giggles and glances were added to the performance, until the target either left or summoned the guts to confront them directly.
At this point the starting-shit hot potato was tossed at the target, with a betrayed cry of “OMG, way to ~eavesdrop~ on our ~personal conversation, do you MIND?~”
what i’m getting at is, humans don’t change. we merely adopt new platforms to run the same old scams.
and every single time we think we’re the good guy because we were ~~whispering~~ when we said the thing.
