this makes me weepy because literally, he called her his songbird and "little dove" in honor of his wife... Lenore Dove Mellark, who became Lenore Dove-Everdeen when they were married. ♡🕊️
so the fact that cinna has branded her as the dove? it's literally the most heartbreakingly kismet thing, because it makes burdock miss his son and his beautiful granddaughter that is now fighting for her life. the capitol makes it sound like she is curated aesthetic, but cinna knew... ren is truly mercy in human form. ♡🕊️♡🕊️♡🕊️
{also, I totally made it to where ren's parents' names were Lenore Dove Mellark and Peeta Everdeen... so that when they opened the bakery, it was named "Everlark."}
