Looking for Two Books I Read in Middle School. I graduated in 2012.

Google hasn’t been all that helpful so here I am.

First book is probably the easiest:

It was about a teenage boy who starts at a new high school and makes friends with another boy and a girl. Turns out the guy was raised by wolves as a child and he’s part of a study because he can remember his time there and still eats raw meat ect. The three if them learn that two of their classmates who are bullies and/or outsiders are planning a school shooting and try to stop them by befriending on of the boys. I think wolf boy is shot?

Second one:

This one is extremely similar to a popular book called Gregor the Overlander by Suzanne Collins, but it isn’t that one. In the book there’s a mom who is neglectful and/or scatterbrained, a younger sister who basically takes care of the whole family, a dad who is some kind of scientist/inventor who has either disappeared or disappeared shortly after the books start, and finally the main character, a teenage boy. At some point he finds himself in a secret, kinda steampunk underground city/society. There are mutated creatures and humans are split into two classes. The guy is forced to contribute and he winds up scavenging surface stuff in a dangerous junk yard with others and almost falls into a dark pit but is pulled back up because they are all tied off for safety purposes. He also meets a boy from and upperclass family who has a giant hairless house cat as a pet. The guys sister is actually secretly the daughter of a high ranking member of the secret police who keeps order underground and was some kind of spy? That’s all I remember.
