I was resisting buying this volume after how much I have not been enjoying this series lately, but Pochi on the cover and a promise of a focus on Silas lured me back in (and also there was a deal on BookWalker). Sadly, this volume is just more of the same. Barely anything happens and the chapters were so long that I struggled to get the motivation to pick the volume up. This volume did have less Jeord though, so I'll give it that. I like Silas but I'm starting to get the feeling him and Maria might be end game and I don't like that. So I didn't really like seeing him the focus because his feelings for Maria was a focus. This volume is just fine but I do think I've outgrown this series. When I'm constantly wondering when it's finally going to end, I know I'm not enjoying it anymore. Will I still buy the next volume? It'll depend on who's on the cover and what the premise promises.
