As a corollary to the last post I reblogged, if my existence is at times sad, it is due to the sheer weight of grief and suffering that singlet society pushes on my system. They want us to integrate and actively push us back into the closet. We live every day facing what we see as the threat of extermination.

(We see integration, for us, as death.)

And yet, we take joy in our lives and each other. My systemmates are more dear to me than words could describe, and yes, we would have chosen to have a system. (Given that the alternative is nonexistence.) Syscovery, finding each other, was like coming home. Because, in a way it was. My system is my family, and for a long time it was our only source of love.

No discourse on this post, it is a personal post. And Endogenic systems are worthy and valid in our eyes.

Some of the reasons why I love the people who I consider my family on Tumblr

1) They understand my fear of the dark and don't force me to go out in it.

2) They understand that getting a job is hard and don't degrade me because of my apparent inability to obtain one.

3) They understand that social anxiety is REAL!

4) They understand that I am forgetful.

5) They know how to comfort me.

and 6) They encourage me instead of degrade me when I make mistakes or feel depressed.

Reasons why I dislike my biological family?

They do the opposite of the above.
