I think there's just really no escaping the fact that if you decide that you are just writing something "fluffy for fun" and therefore you do not want to examine any of the worldbuilding implications or their impacts on the characters who live in that world, you are just going to end up reproducing the social rules and structures that YOU think are ✨normal✨ in an obviously unexamined way, which is unfortunately one of the least flattering things an author can do. cannot overstate what a bad look this is.

There's a trend we've noticed a lot (though it's far from recent) of just. Sharing details of exactly how your persecutor headmate is hurting you/your system right out there in public tags or posts, shaming them for it, sometimes encouraging users to tell your headmate off publically, and otherwise degrading stuff. My system is of the stance that abusing persecutors just comes back to bite you and doesn't help anyone grow or change, which I'm thankful for seeing as I am a persecutor. But not everyone has that stance.

I think it's important to note that regardlss of your opinion on what should happen to persecutors, harming them back while you share a body has a lot more of a chance to cause further issues in the future, seeing as you can't usually just remove them. Or hell at the very least maybe people shouldn't be so openly encouraging of abusing their headmates toward other systems in a public space. But how I think you should treat your persecutors isn't exactly the point of this post.

Posting details of any in-system abuse online is still posting details of abuse online--personal, private, unsafe information that can be used against you. The internet at large is not a safe place no matter how much you try to make it so. You could have these details of abuse posted to cringe sites, receive harrassment based on it, get people telling you that you did deserve it among many other things. Not everyone wants to hurt you online, but there are people who just want to cause a scene, and you're handing them all the keys to hurt you. If you need to vent, do it privately. If you simply must post it in the tags for whatever reason, because I know not everyone will be stopped--at least put a warning tag on it so other systems don't have to see your graphic detailed accounts of things going on in your brain without so much as a warning against reading it.
