Okay for context the other rabbit is nanabozho! (Also called Wenabozho, Nanaboozhoo, Nanabush and Manabozho, they have a lotta names--) and he's a prolific and prominent character in many of my people, the anishinaabe (Ojibwe), stories!

I drew him interacting with el-ahrairah because he reminds me so much of nanabush-- they both have a connection to a higher power, their gods, both are tricksters, both are part of their respective creation myths, and both care deeply about their people!

Nanabozho is a shape shifter, while he takes many forms their most common is a hare! So that just made me think of them even more fjdndndn

This is a piece I drew live on stream last month. Apparently some people found the Super Bunyan (“Super Bunyan”) lore drop in Material XV weird and off-putting?? I personally think it’s wild and rad as hell and while I’m honestly really bummed that it didn’t get actively implemented into the event or even acknowledged in game at all, you gotta admit that “dropping an existentially heavy and complex lore bombshell about a shallow gag character that completely recontextualizes them exclusively as a casual aside in a completely auxiliary piece of reference material” is extremely Riyo-core, lmao.

Lol I love being apart of Hellenism/Pagan! Like what do ya mean before i could even decide which goddesses I wanted to worship mother Hekate, lady Aphrodite, lady selene and freyja picked me out already!? Mother Hekate and Aphrodite were sending signs left and right, especially mother Hekate! Mother Hekate sent so many signs like things in threes, likings in crystal/stones, dogs in places i didn't expect especially black dogs, finding old keys to my diary, garden snakes always on my walks, seeing her symbols and name around repeatedly along with seeing tons of her sacred plants and liking most her acts and foods/drinks she is connected to. Lady Aphrodite went all out too, once i found a heart ring no one in my family had ever bought, she's also give me other signs like seeing tons of vids of her on my tiktok, pearl/bead jewelry being my most worn, seashell and unicorn themed things appearing a lot and feeling sudden confident, self love and romantic longing! Selene was actually the first altar i ever started since i am most active at night and feel connected with the moon, astrology and lunar phases, i feel her everytime i play music at night mainly sleep music/lullabies. Freyja on the other hand was way more chill about her signs, i often mixed hers with Aphrodite till i realized, her signs were always there, with cat themed things almost everywhere, feeling better about myself already and craving most of her sacred foods such as chocolate and pork. I work with other gods and goddesses as well but these are my main bunch! I work with Hekate, Selene, Aphrodite, Hera, Artemis, Athena, Hestia, Lilith, Freyja, Gaia, Circe, Isis, Hathor, persephone, psyche, Apollo, Zeus, Lucifer, Dionysus, Hermes, Pan, xolotl, nanabozho and Lucifer! Might worship more soon!

Title of the work is Wiské, its for an art competition for Citizen Potawatomi Nation graduates, and my focus for this work is characters and themes from Potawatomi winter time stories. The number three is also a big theme because of Potawatomi being the youngest of the Three Fires, the others being the Ojibwe and the Odawa. I know its a bit taboo in some circles to talk about winter time stories while its not winter, but I've been told this is because the spirits will show up and I think that they'll be good guides for graduates who may be uncertain about the future!

The top of the painting has three lights in the sky and a bald eagle. Bald eagles are important because, as I learnt from our avairy, they carry messages from the Creator. Ive also been taught that unexplained lights in the sky are also messages from the Creator. These represent the Creator watching over the graduates as they enter their new life. The main figure in red is Wiské and I wanted her to reflect the graduates entry into a new life. Wiské is holding a red letter because graduation is a red letter day for many people. She is exiting a door while walking on watermelons, referencing other tribes' name for the Potawatomi being "the water melon people" due to our ancestors growing lots of watermelons. I chose this because my brother in law is Muskogee and that's what they call us. It also is a cool juxtaposition with Potawatomi meaning "people of the place of fire". The 7 seeds in the watermelon represent the 7 Grandfather Teachings. Wiské is stepping into a ring that I wanted to be a mix of a pow wow arena, a blueberry pie and finger weavings. These are to represent tradition, home, and crafts. To the right of Wiské is trailing arbetus, very important to some Potawatomi. To the left is a spider and a web of telephone wires, these make a spider web pattern. Spiders I've heard have important places in Potawatomi people's dreams, hopefully the spider will protect the graduate's dreams. Below the web is three paisek or Little People. I chose these because Native stories about the Little People are some my favorite stories. Flanking the circle is three spirit dogs. These represent Jibayaabooz, Wiské's dead brother watching over and protecting Wiské as she starts her journey. They also symbolize the graduates own ancestors watching over them. Also the dogs and the circle together make an outline of a turtle, like how in some stories our world is carried on the back of a turtle. At the bottom is a Zagma, an under water panther. I wanted this to represent things that will distract and beffudle the graduate on their journey, serving as a warning to the graduates.

Following the Original Instructions, Benton-Banai recounts that Nanabozho also had the task to learn how to live from his elder brothers and sisters. When he needed food, he noticed what the animals were eating and copied them. Heron taught him to gather wild rice. One night by the creek, he saw a little ring-tailed animal carefully washing his food with delicate hands. He thought, "Ahh, I am supposed to put only clean food in my body."
