Suite Precure 15th Anniversary
Listening to an album by a band I like a lot that I also heavily associate with a particular character while at work and then somehow being surprised when I’m overcome by thoughts of the character.
I thought I would be safe because this is their first album and I link him a bit more with their slightly later stuff. I was a fool. I am never safe from that freak.
This isn’t the picture I was originally working on for the occasion (I’ll finish that one later) but here’s a quick little something I whipped up in the meantime. Happy birthday to Best Girl, Yuina!
I don’t often get kudos or comments on my fic on AO3 and it’s always a really nice treat when I do.
Today I got notifications about kudos from guests on two different fics for totally different fandoms with completely different tones/vibes. I don’t have any way to prove this because of the nature of how the Guest system works, but I like to think they were the same person and they are just a fellow sicko (affectionate) who can appreciate the appeal of both soft sweet cat lesbians and terrible violent mages.
Thank you for my life, chicken tortilla soup from a nearby Tex Mex place. You are everything to me right now.

Feeling weary and unpleasantly irritable this morning but I just learned there’s a gelato place right down the street from my office and everything is going to be alright, actually.
Parked next to a car at the library and, as I pulled in, I thought it had a novelty license plate that said DIVORCE but written in leet speak. Kind of upset that wasn’t actually the case because that would be an INTENSELY weird but TREMENDOUSLY powerful energy to put out there.
This came to me in a vision as I made the rest of the trip home.

Made a couple new freaks for my freak collection the other night to help flesh out the setting that a lot of my OCS are from. They’re so fresh they don’t even have names yet (she says as though it didn’t take literally a decade for her to settle on real names for some of the others.) I wanted to post about this because I know many of my mutuals are avid crafters and I don't know how much attention this endeavour is getting outside of end-of-life spaces-
The Loose Ends Project matches crafters with a project that is unfinished because of death or disability. They offer help with a spectrum of textile mediums in over 80 countries. One project I find particularly lovely: “My mom was making this octopus for me. She was 67 years old when she passed away from COPD. She was hospitalized for pulmonary rehab several times and would always take it to work on while she was there and loved to talk about it with people."
(the red heart marks the last stitch made by this person's mom) Anyway, if something like this is something you'd like to be involved in, they are always looking for more crafters <3
My favourite recent finishing project that they posted about wasn't precisely something that the crafter left unfinished. The knitter in question had had dementia, and thought she was knitting scarves. So a finisher was found to piece all the little bits of knitting together into a blanket.
