The wind whipped the boy's hair around and he had to brace himself as a gust nearly knocked him over. Ahead of him stood a large stone archway dug into the side of the cliff. Vines had grown over most of of it at this point, covering up any signs of the structure being there in the first place.
Even the path leading up to it was overgrown with weeds and tall grass. If you were to stumble onto the area, you would continue on without a second glance. But the boy stood facing the archway, facing a door, a door that he knew was behind the weeds and the vines. He stood there as the wind blew against him and whispered in his ears, telling him to keep going.
He took a single step forward, his shoes crushing the tall grass beneath him. He took one step at a time until he reached the vines, and then reached out to part them. There, hidden behind the green was the door, a piece of the rock only distinguishable by the small cracked line surrounding it.
He stepped through the vines, letting them close behind him, cutting the daylight out and only allowing spots to filter through.
The boy ran his hands along the smooth rock. The surface whispered to him like the wind, urged him to continue on.
