What’s something about yourself that you like or are really proud of?
Uh... Um... I finished college? That's a thing to be proud of right? Like I passed everything in my final year. Yeah.
Who are the most important people in your life?
My little brother is probably number 1.
My friend David is pretty important but shh don't let him know I admitted to that.
Uh, other friends. Gary, Paul, Faith. I dunno.
Family. You guys. Other people. Tim Schafer. Terry Pratchett.
Who’s someone you wish you could get to know, but are/were too shy to do so?
Too shy to do so? That means it can't be a fictional person or someone famous or whatever, right? I dunno. I've had the opportunity to meet a fair few well-known people who I haven't really spoken to because anxiety or whatever stopped me from going up and saying what I wanted/planned to say (I id hug the guy who animated Hogarth in the Iron Giant though). But I don't think those really count because it's not like I'd have gotten the chance to know them if I was less shy/anxious/frightened. I guess there are some people on here I could/should talk to off anon more often or give my skype to. There are some people I already have on skype whose names I stare at while they're online but never get up teh courage to initiate conversation with, too.
Where would you prefer to live?
I'm alright where I am for now. Toronto's pretty cool though, I wouldn't mind living there. But I'd live to visit Vancouver and Portland and Auckland (thought I'll be there for a couple of days in March, woo!) and Espoo and a bunch of other places before I can really decide where would be the ideal place to live. I don't really want to live in the USA but a lot of the companies I'd most like to work for are based there so ???
Give me your detailed opinion on emojis.
I don't really have one. I don't use them really myself, but I have no problem with other people using them so long as they're not spamming them somewhere they don't belong.
What’s a really nice compliment you’ve gotten that made you happy?
Uh. Compliments ??? What are these? No, I don't know. One time this guy called me a pretty lady, and he said it while I was wearing dungarees and that made me happy because my friend told me before that no-one can look good in dungarees and I got to rub his face in it, but that's the only reason I remember that exchange. I guess I take it as a compliment every time someone reacts angrily to being inspired by one of my prompts (you know who you are), and those make me happy because it's nice to know someone liked one of my ideas enough to add their own stuff onto it.
Are you religious?
Not at all. Which is funny, because I was in a children's church choir growing up, and I taught one in my teenage years, and now I sing at mass at least once a month. I don't really believe in a god, but I believe in a something. To be honest, I kind of wish the ancient Greek gods were real because those guys were hella interesting. But yeah, on the whole, I believe religion is a really personal thing. I think that everyone has different beliefs based on their situation and their experiences, and I don't think that any two people out there really believe the exact same thing. I just kind of wish religious nuts/organised religion could accept that and let everyone believe what they do in peace.
What’s a book/movie/TV show that’s stuck with you, for whatever reason?
All of them. Every one. I really like lists, and because I like lists so much, I can tell you that I have seen 1,373 films that I remembered enough to put into a list. And probably even more than I didn't remember. Some of those are pretty terrible, yeah. But I couldn't count the movies that have stuck with me or meant something to me. And they all mean different things to me in different ways. Movies are my lifeblood. They're a huge part of who I am.
Do you want kids? Why or why not?
Nope. No real reason why, I just don't. Children have never been something I want in my life. And I've had many people telling me over the past decade or two that that's going to change, but I don't see that happening any time soon.
Do you find the future terrifying?
Absolutely. I'm scared shitless. I'm shit scared about the fact that I'm aging even now and there's nothing I can do about it. Time is frightening, the future is terrifying.
Do you cry easily? Have you ever cried out of happiness?
Sometimes I cry very easily, other times I couldn't cry even if I tried. I tend to cry more when I'm scared though than when I'm sad/happy. I cried today watching a movie about aliens because it freaked me out.
